Surgery-Free Healing: Homeopathy for Nasal Polyps

Nasal polyps are soft, painless, noncancerous growths that develop in the lining of your nose or sinuses. Nasal polyp symptoms include nasal congestion, runny nose, headaches, loss of smell and taste, nosebleed, postnasal drip, breathing through the mouth, sleep apnea, snoring, heaviness of the forehead and face.

On July 23, 2023, a 40-year-old male patient with a Patient ID:52040 consulted at Life Force Homeopathy's Jayanagar Branch for nasal polyps, a condition he had been dealing with for 20 years. His symptoms included nasal congestion, mouth breathing, sneezing, and itching of the nose and eyes, and headaches. He experienced severe episodes of these symptoms 2-3 times a year, each lasting for about 15 days. During severe episodes, he relied on Nasivion Classic Adult 0.05% Nasal Spray as needed.

During the consultation, a thorough case history was taken, covering both his physical and mental health. Additionally, his past medical treatments and family medical history were discussed and updated.

Physical generals:

The patient is non-vegetarian, had an average appetite and craving for spicy foods. He consumed approximately 2-3 liters of water daily, exhibiting average thirst. He had an average perspiration, he found hot weather intolerable. His bowel movements were regular, and he experienced no urinary issues. Enjoying sound sleep, he preferred lying on his right side.

Mental generals:

The patient presented as mild and gentle, though prone to occasional irritability. Despite being adventurous, he harbored a fear of water. He possessed a fondness for travel and exhibited an extroverted nature, enjoying company.

Intellectual Assessment:

The patient demonstrated good memory, perception, analysis, and logical abilities.

Systemic Examination:

A thorough examination was conducted, including the assessment of blood pressure and weight, which were recorded.

Dr. Shah analyzed the case and prescribed CARCINOSIN 30 as per the case need. The patient was also given a diet chart pertaining to his health condition.

Follow-ups:

During the first follow-up on September 20, 2023, the patient experienced 20%-30% improvement across all symptoms, such as sneezing, nasal congestion, itching of the nose and eyes, and a runny nose. While still using nasal spray, the dependency on it had reduced.

At the second follow-up on November 18, 2023, the patient showed further improvement, with a 40% improvement in symptoms.

By the third follow-up, the patient had achieved an 80% improvement and had ceased using nasal sprays altogether.

By March 17, 2024, the patient reported being 95% better, expressing immense satisfaction at being free from nasal sprays. Grateful for the results achieved at Life Force, the patient extended heartfelt thanks to the entire team.

Conclusion:

Homeopathy is a highly recommended approach for managing nasal polyps, particularly in cases where they are of smaller size. Administering homeopathic remedies in a timely manner can effectively alleviate symptoms, potentially averting the need for surgery and its associated complications. Furthermore, as recurrence is common even post-surgery, homeopathic treatment offers a preventive aspect by reducing the likelihood of relapse.
