Chronic Bronchitis Patient Heals in 8 Months with Homeopathy at Life Force
A 24-year-old male patient (PIN: 49480) went to the Life Force Bangalore Malleswaram Branch with complaints of bronchitis on 9th October 2022. He had experienced severe dry cough episodes regularly for the previous eight months.
The patient was concerned about his discomfort of chest congestion that would last four to five days a week along with a persistent dry cough, slight dyspnea, sore throat, and chest pain. No wheezing episodes had occurred. The patient’s coughing had become more intense during the previous six to eight weeks and was persistent throughout the day. Nighttime, dust, talking nonstop, and consuming cold food or beverages would all contribute to triggering the symptoms of bronchitis. He also experienced very rare episodes of dyspnea.
He was on Macbery Dx syrup (chlorpheniramine maleate and dextromethorphan hydrobromide) an allopathic prescription, as and when required for three to four months.
Three or four years ago, he used to take inhalers every morning due to a medical condition. After the chest physician examined him, the results of his pulmonary function test and chest x-ray were normal.
The patients had no other related complaints.
He used to eat a combination of vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods. His appetite was average, and he didn't have any specific food preferences. He had excessive thirst and would sweat a lot. He didn't have any issues with sleep, bowel movements, or urination.
Psychological Generals and Family Make-Up:
He was a student preparing for graduation. He lived at home with his parents who had settled in Bangalore. His father was a businessman, while his mother was a homemaker. He also had a younger brother who was studying currently.
He had a good relationship with all of his family members. He was a calm and level-headed individual who rarely became irritated or angry. He was diligent and serious in his studies. His childhood was filled with happiness and he received ample support.
His mother was also suffering from a respiratory condition called asthmatic bronchitis, which caused similar issues. However, all other members of the family seemed to be in good health.
At Life Force:
His case was studied in detail by Dr. Shah, and he was prescribed a homeopathic constitutional remedy along with some research-based medicines.
During the first follow-up on 17th December 2022, he had experienced some improvement initially for a few days, but then his symptoms worsened slightly. He still had cough episodes at night, which were triggered by the winter season. He was prescribed Macbery Dx syrup (Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide) to take as and when needed.
During the second follow-up on 23rd February 2023, he reported a 60% improvement in his relief. He was feeling much better than before and did not require any additional medication.
During the third follow-up in May 2023, he reported a complete recovery. He no longer had any cough or cold symptoms or episodes.
He had previously tried both conventional and Ayurvedic treatments, but they did not provide any relief. This time, he decided to try homeopathy in the early stages for a faster and complete recovery.
Life Force’s treatment resulted in a positive outcome, and he was pleased with it and was thankful to Dr. Shah and the entire Life Force family.
Homeopathy is a viable alternative to steroids and inhalers and can help to shorten the duration of the illness. While external bronchodilators, steroids, or antihistamines may provide temporary relief for 12-24 hours, they need to be taken continuously. Hypersensitive airway disorders require careful and natural treatment. Over time, the patient can become more tolerant to dust, temperature changes, humidity, and strong odors, indicating a return to normalcy. Homeopathy can promote recovery from bronchitis effectively and safely without any side effects and without any drug dependency.
