Patient Walks Again Without Pain After Psoriasis Healing
Mrs. S.D., a 66-year-old woman (Patient ID: 12588), along with her husband, revisited Life Force Homeopathy, Thane branch, on 3rd March 2023, for the treatment of psoriasis affecting both soles. She had undergone homeopathic treatment at Life Force about seven years ago, with excellent results, and remained symptom-free for a long time. However, she experienced a relapse over the past year, prompting her to restart treatment.
At the time of presentation, she complained of thick scaling and burning pain in both soles. Cracks were visible, making it painful to walk. The intensity of discomfort had gradually increased over the months, and she was now seeking relief from the pain and difficulty in walking. Her condition worsened during the winter, and she also appeared sensitive to stress, although no obvious underlying cause could be identified at the onset of this relapse.
Homeopathic treatment was re-initiated using Dr. Rajesh Shah’s individualized prescription based on her clinical condition, emotional state, past response to homeopathy, and constitutional features.
Follow-ups:
By 28th March 2023, just three weeks after the start of treatment, she reported a 20% improvement in burning and scaling. The frequency of itching had also reduced. By May 2023, the scaling had stopped, and itching had decreased further. The cracks were healing, and she was able to walk more comfortably.
In June 2023, she mentioned that there was no itching or scaling, with only mild pain over a previously cracked area on the right foot. However, in August, some scaling and dryness persisted on the arch of the right foot. Then in September, there was a noticeable flare-up on the left sole with increased cracking, scaling, and pain, making walking difficult again. The trigger for this relapse remained unclear.
By November 2023, her condition again improved – the frequency and intensity of itching, cracks, and scaling had significantly reduced, and she was able to walk without discomfort. However, in December, another flare-up occurred. She reported deep cracks and mild bleeding on both soles and toes, accompanied by pain while walking. The episode was likely triggered by cold weather and stress, particularly after losing her gold bangles, which had upset her emotionally.
Throughout January and February 2024, the pattern remained cyclical – the lesions would heal, only to return after 15–20 days. She described a clear pattern of cracks reappearing after temporary relief, but noted that older lesions were settling well.
By April 2024, she reported an 80% improvement with no cracks or bleeding, and all lesions had settled. This progress remained stable through June and July, with no active lesions on examination. She was very satisfied and requested to continue with the same prescription.
In September 2024, she mentioned a minor crack under her left big toe, but otherwise remained free from major complaints. Unfortunately, by mid-October, she experienced another flare-up with new lesions on both soles, thick scaling, and bleeding cracks, especially on the toes and heel, which again made walking painful. However, the condition was brought under control quickly, and by January 2025, her soles were clear once again.
Toward the end of January 2025, another minor relapse was noted with cracks, scaling, and pain, but no itching this time. She shared that the lesions tend to recur every 20 to 30 days, without any recognizable cause.
By March 2025, she reported that her feet were 90% better, with the last deep crack healing well and no new lesions. She continued to take only homeopathic medicines, with no other external or internal treatments. Her symptoms became increasingly mild and manageable.
In April, June, and July 2025, she maintained a stable and healthy state. All lesions had healed, no cracks or scaling were present, and her soles remained clear. She continued to follow her lifestyle and medication routine strictly, and no relapses were reported.
