No Surgery No Chemicals Only Pure Healing for Molluscum Contagiosum in Children

This case study discusses the curative properties of homeopathic medicines for Molluscum contagiosum contagiosa) a commonly found skin infection, especially among children, which looks like small, pearl-shaped, pinkish-white eruptions on the skin. It is a viral infection. It is also found in adults who are immunodeficient for some reason.

An 11-year-old boy, Master T.M. (Patient ID: 56132), visited the Life Force Mulund clinic on November 15, 2024, accompanied by his mother. He presented with multiple tiny, skin-colored eruptions primarily on his forearms, face, and neck. These eruptions were molluscum contagiosum, had persisted for 3–4 years, and were slowly spreading to other areas, including his back and thighs.

Occasionally, he experienced mild itching, but no prior treatment had been taken. Due to the visibility of the eruptions, the boy developed self-consciousness and lacked confidence, significantly affecting his psychological well-being. He was getting very conscious and irritated due to his skin condition and used to think about what his friends would think about him, as none of his friends suffered from such a condition.

Associated complaints:

Additionally, he was undergoing treatment at Life Force for Tinea versicolor, another skin condition, which was showing improvement & betterment.

Family history:

His family history revealed that his father had suffered from psoriasis, which had also responded well to homeopathic treatment.

Personal history:

He was originally from Bhandup, Mumbai. For the past year, he had been residing in a hostel in Surat for his education. He was noted to be academically capable. His father was a businessman, while his mother, who was once employed, is currently a homemaker. He is the only child in the family, and his move away from home might have influenced both his mental and physical health.

At Life Force:

The consultation at Life Force involved a detailed case analysis by Dr. Rajesh Shah. Along with homeopathic medicines, certain dietary changes were advised to support his treatment. Some blood tests were also recommended to investigate any underlying pathology. Dr. Shah initially prescribed homeopathic remedies for two months.

Follow-ups:

At the first follow-up on January 21, 2025, there was a significant improvement. The eruptions had reduced, and the itching had completely subsided. No new eruptions appeared, which relieved and satisfied both the patient and his family. Impressed by the visible progress within just two months, Dr. Rajesh Shah continued the treatment with another two-month prescription.

During the next follow-up on 2nd March 2025, his mother reported that all the eruptions had healed, and there were no signs of itching or irritation. Most notably, the boy’s self-confidence had returned, and he was no longer concerned about his appearance. Encouraged by the results, Dr. Shah extended the treatment further for two more months to ensure sustained healing and to prevent any recurrence.

Conclusion:

The conclusion drawn from this case emphasizes that chronic viral skin conditions like molluscum contagiosum can be successfully managed and potentially cured through homeopathic treatment. The antiviral properties of certain homeopathic medicines appear to play a significant role in combating such infections. This case not only showcases the effectiveness of homeopathy in treating dermatological conditions but also highlights its positive impact on a young patient''s mental and emotional health.
