Mulund patient says homeopathy changed her life with lichen planus cure

A 57-year-old lady, named D.S. (Patient ID: 36858), visited Lifeforce, Mulund, on 18th May 2018, for her lichen planus. She has been suffering from lichen planus since 2012. Her lesions of lichen planus were blackish, with irregular shapes and raised eruptions. Itching was present on all eruptions, but scratching often led to watery discharge. There was post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation present. She was applying ayurvedic oil & took Allegra 2-3 times a week. She has also taken homeopathic treatment from a local doctor for around two years without much relief.

Associated complaints:

She had been suffering from hypertension since 2017 & was stable with conventional medicines. She had also been suffering from sleeplessness for 4-5 years but was not on any medicines.

Physical generals:

Her diet was a combination of vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods. She used to like spicy food & there was an aversion to sweets.

She was thermally ambithermal.

Personal history:

She was a housewife & had 2 sons who were working & 1 daughter who was studying.

Mental generals:

By nature, she was an irritable & anxious person. But used to speak what''s on her mind. There was also anxiety about her health & family.

At Life Force:

After a thorough case evaluation, Dr. Rajesh Shah devised a comprehensive treatment plan. He advised on necessary dietary modifications and gave supplements to support her health. She was also advised to do a few blood investigations to check the status of her general health. After analysis, she was prescribed two months of homeopathic medicines initially.

Follow-ups:

The 1st follow-up took place on 26th June 2018, in which she mentioned that there was a total of 25 percent improvement. Itching was also reduced. After analyzing this, Dr. Shah prescribed medicines for the next two months.

In the next follow-up, which was taken on 25th Sep 2018, the patient was given feedback that the itching was better, but a few new eruptions were noted on hands & legs. After considering this information, Dr. Rajesh Shah prescribed medicines for another two months.

On 16th March 2019, the patient mentioned that there was a 70 percent overall improvement in her itching, the lesions were getting better, and no new lesions were noted. After analyzing this, Dr. Shah prescribed medicines for another two months.

In the next follow-up, which was taken on 10th July 2019, the patient reported that there was further improvement. The itching was completely better. Hyperpigmentation was also getting better. According to this information, Dr. Shah prescribed medicines for another two months.

On 3rd February 2020, the patient was given feedback that her condition was improving further. Based on her follow-up, Dr. Rajesh Shah prescribed medicines for another two months.

On 16th January 2021, the patient mentioned that there were no new lesions, no itching, all lesions were stable, & hyperpigmentation was also getting better. According to this information, Dr. Shah prescribed medicines for another two months.

In the last follow-up, which was taken on 13th July 2021, the patient was happy, as almost a year had passed with no new lesions or any other complaints regarding it, as mentioned by the patient. Hyperpigmentation was also getting better.

She was really happy with the results & thanked Dr. Shah for making such a change in her life.

Conclusion:

This case of lichen planus showed significant improvement with individualized homeopathic treatment. The patient experienced gradual but consistent relief from itching, burning & discoloration of the lesions. This case indicates the efficacy of homeopathy in managing chronic autoimmune skin conditions like lichen planus.
