Healing the Emotional Struggles and restoring confidence in a 12yrs old Teen with Homeopathy

Anxiety is a feeling of worry, fear, or unease about future events. While it''''''''s a normal response to stress, it becomes a concern when it is excessive, constant, and starts affecting daily life. Anxiety can cause both emotional and physical symptoms like restlessness, irritability, trouble sleeping, or difficulty concentrating. It may be triggered by stress, trauma, or hormonal changes, and can also run in families. If not addressed, it can impact self-esteem and social life. Early support through homeopathy, counseling, and healthy habits can help manage anxiety and restore emotional well-being.The causes of anxiety in teens are multifaceted. Biological factors, such as genetics and brain chemistry, play a role. Environmental factors, including stressful life events like family issues, academic pressure or bullying, can also contribute to anxiety
Here is a case of A 12-year-old quiet, sensitive, and introverted little girl with Anxiety. M.S. K.S., bearing (Patient identification number)- 55693,visited our Borivali clinic on 26th September 2024, accompanied by her mother who was already under homeopathic treatment at Life Force. The child present with emotional difficulties such as trouble talking to people, fear of being embarrassed in public, and low self-esteem after being body shamed at school. She often felt lonely and not good enough. Her mother was worried about her mood swings, low confidence, and her struggle to make friends.
There is a strong genetic predisposition to anxiety, as her mother, maternal grandmother, and great maternal grandmother have a history of anxiety disorders. The emotional and behavioral changes observed in the patient such as mood swings, low confidence, and social withdrawal may also be influenced by hormonal changes associated with puberty.
Coming to her personal history, she has a good appetite and often feels hungry, with a strong craving for junk food such as chips, cheeseballs, pizza, and cheese. She is quite selective with her food and dislikes gravies. She drinks coffee 2–3 times a day, and her water intake is low (about 1 liter daily), often needing reminders to stay hydrated. Her sleep is sound, and while she occasionally dreams about day-to-day events, she rarely remembers them. She has recently attained menarche with regular menstrual cycles. During vacations, her screen time increases to 5–6 hours a day, which adds to her lack of interest in studies.
Ms. K.S is born and brought up in Mumbai, lives in a nuclear family setup. Her father, a pilot, is frequently away due to work. Her mother, though naturally anxious, is deeply supportive and nurturing. Sibling rivalry exists with her elder brother who is 15yrs old now, but he remains a positive influence.
By nature, she is a quiet and introverted child who enjoys her own company and usually feels content being by herself. However, after transitioning to high school, she began feeling isolated, mainly because she hasn’t been able to make friends. She struggles to initiate conversations and lives with a constant fear of being judged or ridiculed. This emotional shift began after an incident of body shaming at school, which left a deep impact on her self-confidence. Since then, she has become more emotionally sensitive—experiencing frequent mood swings, feeling low easily, and crying often. Despite this, she finds comfort when consoled. Her favorite pastimes include drawing and spending time on her mobile phone.
After a detailed and holistic case analysis, Dr. Rajesh Shah identified the deep-rooted emotional patterns and physical traits presented by M.S. K.S. Based on her sensitivity, reserved nature, emotional vulnerability, and constitutional makeup, he prescribed Natrum Muriaticum 30C and Silicea 30C—homeopathic remedies known to address such personality types and chronic emotional imbalances.
Follow ups:
In the First Follow-Up done on 10.11.24 there was Improvement noted in mood swings, though she still had a lachrymose (tearful) disposition.
During the second follow-up on 21.12.24, there was a noticeable improvement in her emotional stability—mood swings, anxiety, and feelings of loneliness had significantly reduced. However, a new set of concerns emerged, including a clear lack of interest in studies and daily activities, increased forgetfulness, and irritability when pressured or forced to do something.
The improvement continued steadily over the next two follow-ups done in the month of jan and march 2025, While she still experienced occasional mood swings and moments of low self-worth, these episodes were milder and less frequent. By March, her mother observed a marked positive shift in her overall emotional state.
As per the recent follow-up on 02.05.25, the patient has shown nearly 70% overall improvement. She has become more outgoing, engages in social interactions, makes friends, and expresses herself with greater ease. There has been a significant positive shift in her confidence levels and a noticeable reduction in her fears. However, the lack of interest in academics still persists and is being addressed, keeping in mind her increased screen time during the vacation period (5–6 hours/day).
Conclusion:
This case beautifully illustrates how individualized homeopathic treatment helped M.S. K.S. overcome deep-rooted emotional insecurities. The transformation from a withdrawn, self-doubting child to a socially interactive and emotionally stable young girl showcases the holistic power of homeopathy in addressing mental and emotional well-being.
