Effective Homeopathic Management of Asthmatic Bronchitis in a NEET-Aspiring Student
Master P.N.(Patient ID -56465), a 17year old 12th grade student preparing for NEET, visited Life Force Homeopathy in January 2025 with a diagnosis of Asthmatic Bronchitis that had been troubling him since 2022.
He presented with recurrent respiratory attacks characterized by chest congestion, breathlessness, nose block, sneezing, and a persistent dry or productive cough. These episodes typically lasted 15-20 days, occurring 3-4 times a year, and were moderate in severity. Each episode was triggered primarily by exposure to dust, changes in weather, and early morning cold air. He also experienced wheezing bilaterally, more prominently in the upper and lower lobes of both lungs.
During an acute phase, the patient reported:Dry cough, later becoming productive with yellow expectoration, chest heaviness and wheezing (++ on auscultation), breathlessness and nasal congestion, especially in the early morning and at night, sneezing, nose block, and allergic sensitivity to dust and strong smells, general fatigue during prolonged episodes
An X-ray Chest PA View (28.08.2025) showed prominent broncho-vascular markings with hilar congestion and few hilar nodular opacities, suggestive of bronchitis with an infective etiology and enlarged hilar lymph nodes.
His family history revealed allergic rhinitis in his mother, and his condition had a strong allergic component. A serum IgE test was also advised to confirm underlying hypersensitivity.
Past Treatment-
The patient had been on:Tab. Fexofenadine 1 tab HS, Tab. Ventidox 1 tab HS, Foracort 200 BD (for 3 months in 2023 and restarted in October 2024)
He stopped all conventional medications in January 2025, shortly after beginning homeopathic treatment at Life Force.
Master P.N. is a gentle, clever, and affectionate young boy with a calm disposition. Despite being well-supported and emotionally stable, he reported significant stress related to NEET exam preparation, which was believed to aggravate his respiratory condition.
He lives in a modest household, with his father being the sole earning member. He follows a mixed diet, has craving for sweets, excessive thirst, sweats heavily on palms and soles, and cannot tolerate cold weather. His sleep is sound, usually sleeping on his back.
After a complete constitutional and clinical assessment, Dr. Rajesh Shah prescribed individualized homeopathic medicines aimed at: Reducing hypersensitivity to allergens, Improving respiratory immunityAddressing the underlying stress component
Follow-ups & Progress-
13.02.2025: 40–50% better. No asthmatic attack. Cough, sneezing, and nasal blockage reduced significantly. Chest heaviness also not reported.
09.03.2025: 50–60% improvement. No attacks or cough. Sneezing intensity decreased further. Patient was off all conventional medication.
03.05.2025: 80% better. No symptoms of asthmatic bronchitis. No wheezing, cough, or nasal congestion.
01.07.2025: Stable condition maintained. Patient remained completely symptom-free and did not require any conventional medicine.
28.08.2025: Overall 80–90% improvement maintained. No recurrence of bronchitis episodes since the start of homeopathic treatment. Chest X-ray continued to show residual bronchial markings, but clinically the patient was asymptomatic and stable.
Conclusion-
With consistent and well-monitored individualized homeopathic treatment, Master P.N. achieved 80–90% long-term improvement in his chronic asthmatic bronchitis, and has remained completely symptom-free since early 2025.
Importantly, he discontinued all conventional medications without relapse, indicating enhanced respiratory immunity and overall systemic balance. Homeopathy also helped address his stress and sensitivity, empowering him to continue his NEET preparation without being held back by respiratory health concerns.
