Deputy Manager From MNC With 100 Strands Hairfall Daily Recovered With Homeopathy

A 38-year-old woman(Patient ID: 51136) visited the Mulund Life Force Homeopathy clinic on 2nd of April 2023 with a complaint of hair fall for 2 years. Her main concern was hair fall from the roots that progressed gradually over the last 2 years. She mentioned losing 80 to 100 hair strands daily and thinning of hair. Mainly the vertex region was affected, with a significant gap noted between hair grooves. She also had gray hairs and occasional dandruff. Her hair was of the dry, frizzy type. She was worried about the progressing hair loss, as her brother had male pattern baldness. She had tried some home remedies but had not taken any treatment for hair fall.

Associated illness:

Apart from hair fall, she did not have any other health condition, nor was she on any treatment.

Past illness:

The patient mentioned that she had taken cosmetic treatment for acne for 2 years and had stopped 3 years ago.

Personal and family setup:

The patient was basically from Satara, hailing from a family consisting of her parents and two siblings. Due to her father''s strict nature, the patient 

and her siblings were completely focused on academics and did not have any social life in childhood. She was highly educated and had a top position at an MNC in Mumbai. Presently, she lives with her brother''s family due to her job location. Although she had cordial relations with her entire family, there were frequent conflicts in the family, which occasionally disturbed her.

Physical generals:

The patient had a mixed diet and had no specific cravings nor aversions in food. She mentioned her sensitivity to drafts and also had profuse 

perspiration on the slightest exertion. She also mentioned she had sweating of palms and soles with coldness and nervousness before any presentation or exam.

Family illness:

Her brother had hair fall and male pattern baldness, while her sister suffered from an underactive thyroid. Her father had hypertension, and her mother had osteoarthritis.

At Life Force:

At the clinic, she was examined for any signs of anemia, a hair pull test was done, and weight, blood pressure, etc. were recorded. She was advised few blood investigations and guided for dietary and lifestyle changes. Based on her case details, she was prescribed homeopathic medicines by Dr. Rajesh Shah and was asked to update us after 6 weeks of taking the medicines.

Follow-Ups:

On the 18th of May 2023, the patient gave her 1st feedback that there was no significant change in hair fall, although the progression had 

stopped. Meanwhile, based on her investigations, she has prescribed supplements for Iron, Vitamin D3, and B12 and guided her on how to take them.

Based on the follow-up, she was prescribed homeopathic medicines by Dr. Shah for another six weeks, and he asked for an update.

At the 2nd follow-up on the 11th of July 2023, the patient mentioned that although hairfall persisted, there was regrowth noted. She mentioned being unable to follow dietary changes and supplements. She was again 

advised to follow as instructed. Based on her feedback, she was prescribed further treatment for six weeks by Dr. Shah.

On the 20th of Aug 2023, there was noticeable improvement. Regrowth was seen when the scalp was examined. Also,  hairfall had reduced further. She was following diet changes and taking supplements as instructed. Based on her follow-up, she was prescribed it again for six weeks by Dr. Shah.

Meanwhile, her thyroid profile investigation showed mild elevation of TSH, for which she was advised and asked to monitor.

On the 2nd of Dec 2023, she mentioned a further reduction in her hair fall by 20%. She was accordingly prescribed by Dr. Shah for another six weeks.

For the next three to four months, there was further reduction in hair fall and dandruff as well. She was prescribed by Dr. Shah accordingly.

On the 4th of Aug 2024, the patient happily said she had about 7 to 10 strands daily only when combing or after hair wash. She was prescribed 

by Dr. Shah accordingly.

During the next four to six months, she was asked to monitor her thyroid levels as well to rule out thyroid disorders, if any. Hairfall had completely reduced by 70 to 80% and was stable.

Conclusion:

This case showed the efficacy of homeopathic treatment in progressing hair fall and hair thinning with a genetic predisposition for baldness. With homeopathic medicines, correction of deficiencies, and diet, hair fall was stopped, and significant regrowth was achieved.
