Building Immunity in a Young Boy Suffering from Recurrent Respiratory Infections Using Homeopathy
A 4-year-old male patient named A.P. (Patient ID: 49856) was accompanied by his mother for his frequent cold treatment at Life Force Homeopathy, Mulund. He was suffering from recurrent episodes of dry cough and cold with chest congestion, which was progressing day by day.
During episodes, he used to experience throat irritation, a runny nose, and difficulty in breathing (he has to breathe through his mouth). For all his complaints, his parents used to give conventional treatment only.
Family History:
His mother has been suffering from allergic rhinitis & urticaria for many years. His father is on medication for diabetes mellitus.
Family background:
His father was running a logistics business. His mother works from home & she also works in logistics. His grandfather also does business in logistics. The patient lives with his parents & grandparents, with a cordial relationship at home.
Personal history:
He has been in a playgroup since 2022. By nature, he was quiet & reserved. He does not mix easily. He liked crunchy foods, and there was an aversion to fruits.
At Life Force:
The consultation at Lifeforce involved a detailed case analysis by Dr. Rajesh Shah. Along with homeopathic medicines, certain dietary changes were advised to support his treatment. Some blood tests were also recommended to investigate any underlying pathology. Dr. Shah initially prescribed homeopathic remedies for two months.
Follow-ups:
In the first follow-up, which was taken on 21st Jan 2023, there was overall betterment in recurrent cough. No major cough or discharge was noted. No nose block was present, as it was earlier. Had to take Budecort & Syp. Montair LC. After studying his case, Dr. Shah prescribed medicines for the next two months.
In the 2nd follow-up, which was taken on 15th March 2023, he was overall improving; mild congestion was present, but no major episodes were noted. Was still taking Budecort twice daily & Syp Montair LC at bedtime.
After analyzing the case, Dr. Rajesh Shah prescribed medicines for another two months.
On 29th July 2023, the patient''s mother observed further improvement. No major episodes in the last 3 months; no symptoms of nose block & cough or nasal discharge were noted, except occasional mouth breathing during daytime. Still was taking syrup, Montair LC & Metaspray.
Based on this feedback, Dr. Shah prescribed medicines for another two months.
In the next follow-up, which was taken on 28th September 2023, the patient''s mother gave feedback that there was a mild episode of fever, congestion & cough noted. Had to take Nasomist spray, Syp Allegra & Metaspray nasal spray. After the analysis of this, Dr. Shah prescribed medicines for another two months.
In the last follow-up, which was taken on 3rd November 2023, the patient was 80 percent better overall. And he was not on any medicines.
The patient''s mother was very happy,as her son was free from conventional medicines for his recurrent cold and cough episodes.
Conclusion:
This case highlights how homeopathy can play a supportive role in strengthening a child''s immune system & managing chronic, recurring respiratory conditions safely & gently.
