Breaking the Asthma Cycle With Homeopathy
Master V.C.(Patient ID: 49987), a bright and observant young boy, visited the Life Force Pimpri branch with his parents on 3rd December 2022 for the management of childhood asthma, which had first begun in 2019.
At the time of consultation, he presented with recurrent episodes of dry cough, coryza, occasional chest tightness, breathlessness on exertion (even while speaking), wheezing, mild fever, and weakness during acute episodes. His symptoms were typically aggravated by exposure to cold air and relieved by warm drinks or sitting in a warm environment. On average, he experienced one episode per month, each lasting approximately 4–5 days.
He was receiving conventional treatment, specifically Levolin 50 mcg (Levosalbutamol)—4 puffs, four times daily during episodes—since September 2022. There was also a past history of pneumonitis and a positive family history of allergic rhinitis on the maternal side.
Physical Generals :
He is vegetarian by diet, irregular eating habits, and a craving for salty food. He had an aversion to sweets, low water intake (1–1.5 L/day), and no issues with bowel or urinary functions. He perspired profusely without staining and disliked hot weather, although during acute episodes, he preferred warmth. His sleep pattern was sound, and he preferred to sleep on his side or abdomen. Physically, he was tall for his age, with no signs of pallor or icterus.
Mast.V.C. lived in a nuclear family with both parents working in the IT industry. While there was mild occupational stress, his parents ensured that it did not affect him emotionally. His psychological profile revealed him to be intelligent, sharp, confident, expressive, and occasionally irritable.
After a detailed case evaluation, Dr. Rajesh Shah prescribed an individualized homeopathic treatment plan aimed at long-term management and improvement of his condition.
Follow-up Progress:
On 14th January 2023, during his first follow-up, his mother reported a reduction in the intensity of his symptoms.
At the second follow-up on 28th February 2023, two episodes were reported with cough, coryza, fever, and breathlessness. However, the duration had significantly reduced to 2 days, and he required Budecort 100 mcg only twice over two months.
By 11th May 2023, there was further improvement—only one mild episode in two months, with no need for conventional medication.
From 27th June to 21st November 2023, V.C. remained clinically stable. Mild episodes of cough and coryza were reported, but they were self-limiting and did not require any allopathic intervention. His overall energy levels and well-being were noticeably improved.
During the 3rd January 2024 follow-up, his mother noted an increase in frequent episodes of cough and coryza over the past month. Symptoms included a runny and blocked nose, mouth breathing, and mild cough. These were managed at home with Vicks and over-the-counter syrups, without any need for steroidal inhalers.
From 17th February 2024 till December 2024, his condition continued to remain stable with only mild, transient episodes.
At the follow-up on 22nd January 2025, his mother reported that he was 50–60% better overall. He had occasional sneezing and dry cough but no breathlessness, throat pain, or wheezing, indicating significant symptomatic improvement.
During the most recent follow-up on 23rd April 2025, it was reported that V.C. had been completely stable for the past month, with no episodes of dry cough, breathlessness, throat discomfort, or chest heaviness.
Conclusion:
Master V.C. has shown consistent and significant improvement under individualized homeopathic treatment. Over a period of nearly 2.5 years, the frequency, intensity, and duration of his asthma episodes have reduced considerably. He is currently symptom-free, more energetic, and no longer dependent on conventional medications.
While treatment continues given the chronic nature of asthma he has already achieved 60–70% overall improvement, reflecting the positive impact of holistic, constitutional care.
