Anogenital Warts Recovery with Homeopathy

A 28-year-old patient (Patient ID: 52060) was consulted at Life Force on 23rd July 2023, with anogenital warts. He had been suffering from the issue for 9 months. On consultation, we found he had a cauliflower-like growth in the anal region. There was pain after passing motion and itching, which was quite distressing for him and interfered with his daily comfort. Upon initial consultation, a comprehensive case history was taken, focusing on the physical and mental state to provide a holistic understanding of his health.

Physical generals:

The patient had a vegetarian diet, his appetite was average, and there were no specific cravings or aversions for food. No urinary symptoms were reported. Bowel movements and sleep were satisfactory, with no major disturbances.

Past History:

The patient had a history of warts 3–4 years back on the neck region, which were cauterized at that time. He also had a corn on his left foot, which was operated on 8 years ago. These recurring growths indicated a possible predisposition to skin lesions or viral infections.

Family History and Background:

The patient was employed in the IT sector and had a typically sedentary lifestyle. His father was a businessman and a diabetic. His mother was a homemaker and was keeping well without any significant health concerns.

Mental State:

As a person, he doesn’t easily share his emotions but likes being in the company of people. He tends to panic and become nervous, especially under stress or pressure. He is known to make hasty decisions in such situations, often regretting them later.

After studying his detailed case history and considering both physical and emotional aspects, he was prescribed the homeopathic medicine Thuja-30 by Dr. Rajesh Shah for his anogenital warts.

Follow-ups

• After 2 months of medication, on 10.09.2023, when the patient came for his first follow-up, the number and size of warts had decreased. He still experienced moderate pain for 2–3 hours after passing stool.
• After 4 months, on 16.11.2023, there was an overall reduction of 50%, and only a single lesion was observed with an overall reduction in symptoms.
• On 28.04.2024, the patient showed 90% improvement in both the number and size of warts. Itching had also reduced significantly. The patient was surprised to see results in such a short time.
