A case of chronic asthma successfully managed with homeopathy
A twenty-one-year-old female named M.B. (Patient ID: 42507) visited Life Force, Mulund, on 1st Feb 2020. She has been suffering from asthma since 2019; her symptoms included a productive cough that was difficult to expectorate, heaviness in her chest, and mild breathlessness occasionally. She had taken multiple conventional treatments without much relief.
She was also suffering from acne, for which she was taking treatment in Life Force only.
Physical Generals:
Her diet was mainly veg. She used to experience sweet cravings.
Thermally, the patient was hot. She used to perspire a lot, especially on her palms & soles.
Personal history:
She was studying in the 10th std at that time.
Family history:
There was no positive family history of asthma.
Mental generals:
She was confident & loquacious by nature. By nature, she was very meticulous & wanted to keep everything properly.
She was also very caring & sensitive.

- Water''s & Caldwell''s views of para-nasal sinuses reveal that the bony margins of the sinuses are sharply outlined.
- Left nasal mucosal thickening noted.

In the 3rd follow-up, which was taken on 11th July 20 overall intensity of all the complaints was improved. The frequency of the cough was also reduced, as was the blockage of the nose, and Heaviness in the chest also reduced considerably. After analyzing this follow-up, Dr. Shah prescribed medicines for the next two months.
In the next follow-up, which was taken on 6th September 2020, the patient mentioned that no episodes of asthma were noted. No symptoms noted since the last follow-up. On the basis of this feedback, Dr. Shah prescribed homeopathic medicines for the next two months.
In the next follow-up, which was taken on 12th November 2020, only one mild episode of dry cough with blockage of nostrils was noted, but no episode of breathlessness was noted. According to this feedback, Dr. Shah prescribed medicines for the next two months.
In the last follow-up, the patient mentioned that there were no episodes of asthma noted.
Conclusion:
The case demonstrates the effectiveness of homeopathic medicines in managing chronic asthma. The patient experienced a significant reduction in the frequency and intensity of asthma attacks, along with improved overall respiratory function and general well-being.
