A 73 Year Old Farmer Recovers from Asthmatic Bronchitis With Homeopathy
On January 7, 2024, Mr. G.T., a 73-year-old farmer, came to the Life Force Homeopathy Thane clinic (Patient ID: 53447). He had been suffering from chronic asthmatic bronchitis and allergic rhinitis symptoms for the previous three to four years, which had gotten worse during the previous year. He sneezed ten to fifteen times a day, mostly in the morning and at night. He complained of eye-watering and a runny nose. He experienced episodes of barking cough five to six times a day, four to five days a week, along with nose obstruction, throat irritation, and yellow expectoration. Every two weeks, he also complained of breathing difficulty, which got worse after coughing nonstop. Coughing made his right-sided chest pain worse. For four to five months, he also complained of tinnitus in his right ear, which was more affected than his left ear. All symptoms were exacerbated by cold weather; it is better after expectoration.
Investigation (Feb 2023 – Chest PA View):
Bronchitis with emphysema. Soft tissue shadows in both hilar regions. Segmental consolidation in the right upper lobe and paracardiac region. Minimal bilateral pleural effusion.
Past Treatment History:
The patient had been on multiple conventional medications, including:
Antibiotics (Tab Cnx Clav 625), Mucolytics (Syp Welmik LS)
Steroids (Tab Norcot), Proton pump inhibitors (Tab Esol)
Antihistamines, multivitamins,.
Inhaler Foracort 400 uses SOS, approximately once every 15–20 days
Despite these, the symptoms were recurrent and persistent.
Homeopathic Treatment at Life Force:
After a detailed constitutional case-taking, a personalized homeopathic medicine was prescribed by Dr. Rajesh Shah based on the totality of symptoms — both physical and emotional. Focus was placed on respiratory system sensitivity with allergic tendencies (sneezing, lachrymation), weather sensitivity, emotional triggers, and lifestyle factors.
Follow-Up & Progress:
By 5th March 2024, his breathlessness had improved, and sneezing had reduced as well. However, the cough was still persistent. He used the inhaler once or twice a month. The initial response to homeopathic treatment was positive.
In April 2024 he reported a mild cough and a running nose. Breathlessness occurred only when the cough increased. The inhaler was used 4–5 times during the month. Overall, further improvement was noted.
On 25th May 2024, his breathlessness continued to improve. However, the running nose and morning sneezing (5–8 bouts) persisted. A mild cough was present. Inhaler use is reduced to 1–2 times per month.
By 22nd August 2024, a slight relapse occurred. He experienced daily breathlessness and a blocked nose at night. Sneezing had reduced. There was no cough. Inhaler use became more frequent during this period.
In November 2024, all complaints, including breathlessness, cold, and congestion, showed significant improvement. There was no need for inhaler usage. A marked overall improvement was noted.
By 16th January 2025 mild relapse had occurred, with sneezing, a runny nose, and a cough triggered by exposure to a cold draft. However, the acute trigger was managed effectively.
The patient reported being 75% better overall by 12th April 2025. There was no sneezing, no runny nose, and no breathlessness. Only an occasional wet cough was present. He had not used the inhaler at all.
Conclusion:
This case highlights the effectiveness of Life Force Homeopathy in managing chronic respiratory conditions like asthmatic bronchitis in a seventy-seven-year-old patient. With a holistic approach, Mr. G.T. experienced significant relief without dependency on inhalers or steroids. His immune response has stabilized, and he continues to lead a better quality of life.
