23yrs old Bihar boy gets relief from chronic extensive Psoriasis
Mr. D.P., a 23-year-old gentleman from Bihar, bearing Patient ID: 53209, had moved to Mumbai in search of employment. At the same time, he was pursuing his B.Ed from Bihar. On December 10th, 2023, he visited our clinic at the Borivali branch, seeking treatment for psoriatic lesions that had been troubling him since 2017.
His condition began with small patches on his legs and gradually spread across his body over the years. Despite seeking treatment, his condition was never formally diagnosed. As a result, the more treatment he underwent, the further his condition seemed to worsen. He tried various conventional methods and Ayurveda, but while his symptoms improved temporarily, they would always relapse once he stopped the treatment.
Along with this he also had complaints of recurrent acne over the face.
When he came to us, his main concerns were severe itching, scaling of the skin, and the appearance of new lesions.
He had a good appetite and thirst, with cravings for milk but an aversion to eggs, believing they cause acne. He sweats in his palms and soles but struggles to sweat elsewhere. His tongue had a white coating in the center.
Mr. D.P. grew up in a joint family until 2014. His father is strict and does not approve of his children socializing with others. His mother is mild, and he is closer to his younger brother.
His past medical history includes childhood pneumonia and dengue in October 2022.
The young man prefers studying and tends to avoid making many friends, believing that spending too much time with boys in the village can lead to bad habits. He gets angry when wrongly blamed but calms down on his own after some consolation. He often gets stressed about how others perceive him. His hobbies include listening to music, talking to friends, and reading or studying. His psoriasis is the biggest source of stress for him, affecting his mental well-being more than anything else.
After a thorough case study, Dr. Shah prescribed him constitutional medicine considering his strong physical and mental symptoms.

During the follow-up on 17th May, there was continued improvement. Only PIH marks are visible on the body, face, and scalp. Itching on the scalp is triggered by sun exposure and perspiration. Occasional flakes and burning were there, but no new lesions developed.
In the subsequent follow-ups done in July, August, and Oct, his condition was stable. No new lesions appeared, and PIH marks were fading. Occasional itching and dandruff on the scalp. A natural aggravation period was expected in November-December.
But in further follow-ups done in November, it was observed that his psoriasis was stable, with no relapse or aggravation. He was only concerned about dandruff and hair fall.
In the latest follow-up done on 5th Feb, his psoriasis was Stable with no spread, and itching was reduced. The primary concern is hair fall and dandruff.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, the young man’s case highlights how psoriasis can significantly impact both physical and emotional well-being. Through homeopathic treatment, there has been a notable improvement in his psoriasis symptoms over time, with reduced scaling, dryness, and the absence of new lesions. Homeopathy addresses the individual holistically, considering both the physical symptoms and emotional stresses.
