20 years chronic migraine cured in merely two years with homeopathy!!
A thirty five year old married female(PIN: 48853), Mrs SG, visited Mulund clinic on the 23rd of July 2022 with complaints of recurrent severe headaches since last twenty years, mainly affecting right side of entire head, triggered majorly by irregular sleep, before menses, overexertion. The headaches used to last for 2 to 3 days affecting her daily routine. Alongwith the debilitating headache, there was nausea and vomiting, with intolerance to slightest movement, sound or light during the episodes. Further, her appetite used to reduce, extreme irritability and weakness. Headache was mildly relieved by cold application. These episodes were further progressing and were not responding to the conventional medicines.
Dependency on conventional medicines:
She had been taking Tab. Napra D, once to twice a week when it was unbearable. During the last one year, despite taking conventional medications, there was no relief and the episodes had become severe affecting her capacity to work.
Associated illness:
Apart from migraine, she had occasional mild complaints of acidity, joint pain, hairfall and asthma, for which she was not taking any major treatment.
Past H/O illness:
The patient had underwent spinal surgery in childhod for congenital defect. Also, she had an episode of typhoid in childhood, from which she recovered smoothly with conventional treatment.
Family H/O illness:
The patient''''s father suffered from Migraine. Her mother had hypertension and rheumatoid arthritis, whereas her brothers had diabetes mellitus, gout and hypercholesterolemia.
Personal setup and family:
The patient lived with joint family, consisting of inlaws, her spouse and her young daughter. She was very attached to her family. The patient was an extrovert by nature, enjoyed social life very much. Since last 6 years, she was running her own business successfully, and planned to expand it in future.
At LifeForce:
Based on her case details, she was prescribed homeopathic medicine Natrum muriaticum by Dr Rajesh Shah and was asked to update after 6 weeks of taking the medicines. She was also advised blood investigations, and guided for dietary and lifestyle changes. She was particularly counselled regarding addressing her irregular meals due to her stressful schedule, adequate hydration.
Follow ups:
Six weeks later, on the 28th of September 2022, the patient stated severity of headaches had reduced, thereby reducing the need for conventional medication.Based on her follow up, medicines were revised and she was prescribed for another six weeks by Dr Shah.
Meanwhile, her blood reports showed severe deficiency of vitamin D3, for which she was advised to complete a course of vitamin D3 supplements. Also, she was suggested to take early exposure of sunlight daily for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Again, she was reminded to be mindful about adequate hydration.
At the next follow-up on the 3rd of Dec 2022, the patient mentioned having three major episodes of headache in the last two months requiring conventional medicines. The headache were triggered by menses and due to irregular meals, dehydration. She was again counselled about measures to avoid the triggers. She was prescribed further and asked to update again after six weeks.
After another six weeks on the 11th of January 2023, the patient said the episodes occur same as earlier and she had to take conventional medicines. Her follow up was evaluated and was prescribed further for another six weeks by Dr Shah.
Further on the 28th of February 2023, the patient gave feedback that she had no episodes at all for the entire month, but during last two weeks had four episodes which subsided with conventional medicines. The patient also mentioned that she had suffered from food poisoning and was under conventional treatment for last two weeks. Based on her follow up, Dr Shah prescribed her homeopathic medicine for another six weeks and asked her to update.
The patient had skipped supplements for vitamin D3 for an entire month. She was advised to complete the course as suggested.
On the 30th of April 2023, the patient gave feedback that she had three minor episodes, but severity was very mild and did not require any conventional medication as they subsided on their own. Based on her feedback, Dr Shah prescribed her for another six weeks.
Meanwhile, the patient happily shared that she had further expanded her business. Her workload had increased but she was following all the tips and instructions given to her to manage her busy lifestyle.
On the 27th June 2023, the patient mentioned mild episodes in last two months and the need for conventional had reduced by 80%. Based on her feedback, she was prescribed for another six weeks by Dr Shah.
For the further follow up, the patient was delayed and visited on 11th of October 2023, citing her busy schedule as reason. There were no major episodes and no requirement for conventional at all. She was further prescrined for another six weeks by Dr Shah and asked to be regular with follow ups.
The patient had continued the medicines for longer period, although it was only for six weeks. She was explained that regular follow ups are needed to revise medicines for better prognosis and sooner recovery.
During the period of further four to six months, the patient mentioned one or two mild headaches which subsided on own, but did not have any major episodes, despite the presence of triggers. The use of conventional had stopped since last 12 months. She was further prescribed homeopathic medications by Dr Shah.
The patient was again made aware of triggers and advised to manage her lifestyle, especially adequate hydration, regular meals, sleep, exercises etc.
On the 7th of June 2024, the patient again shared her feedback that she was stable with no episodes. She was prescribed for the duration of six weeks and advised to complete the course and stop treatment.
Conclusion:
This case shows the curative power of homeopathic medicines prescribed by Dr Shah, which not only cured the ailment, also reduced the sensitiveness to the triggers, thereby preventing major episodes of pain and eventually eliminating the need for conventional medications.
