100% Success in Management of Chronic Urticaria

Introduction—This case study highlights the successful homeopathic treatment of a female patient suffering from recurrent urticaria triggered by sun exposure. Throughout treatment and follow-ups, she showed significant improvement, ultimately achieving complete recovery.
 A female patient (Patient ID: 50160) presented with complaints of raised erythematous eruptions with itching and swelling over the face. Symptoms were predominantly triggered by sun exposure, accompanied by puffiness of the eyes and persistent hyperpigmentation in affected areas, along with a sensation of heat. The condition had been persisting for a year, with episodes occurring 5-6 times a month, lasting for 2-3 days. The intensity was moderate, and now the condition remains stable.
Associated complaint- Hereditary Obesity. Her weight had increased significantly in the past 2-3 years. Previously, she weighed 84 kg (two years ago) and had gained weight despite attempting a diet course, reaching a current weight of 99 kg.
Family history: The patient had a strong family history of urticaria, with her mother, maternal grandfather, and maternal uncle having experienced similar conditions. 
Past medication: In her past medical history, she had taken steroids for approximately 7-8 months, which were discontinued in June 2022.
Personal history: Revealed a mixed average diet with diminished thirst and satisfactory bowel habits. She was a student preparing for NEET, with a family background where her father was an executive engineer and her mother was a homemaker. 
Mental Generals—She was happy, gentle, and mild-natured.
Follow-Ups and Progress: 
First follow-up-17.01.2023: The patient was having a 50% improvement in itching. However, she experienced two episodes of erythematous eruptions on the left side of her face, around the lip and cheek, due to sun exposure, followed by light hyperpigmented spots.
Second follow-up—14.03.2023—Improvement remained steady at 50%. Itching was further reduced, though exposure to the sun continued to trigger mild reddish rashes.
On 05.07.2023, Significant progress was noted, with an 80% reduction in symptoms since the last follow-up. Episodes became infrequent and less intense.
On 02.01.2024, the patient was 95% better. Only mild episodes of rashes appeared in the past month, with occasional itching, but overall, symptoms were minimal.
On 24.09.2024, Symptoms remained stable with 80% improvement. Occasional mild itching was still present but did not significantly impact daily life.
Her last follow-up was taken on 26.10.2024-The patient was declared 100% cured, with no urticarial episodes in the past year, confirming the effectiveness of the treatment.
Conclusion:

This case highlights the efficacy of homeopathic treatment in curing chronic urticaria. The patient, who initially suffered from frequent episodes of itching, swelling, and rashes due to sun exposure, gradually improved over time. With consistent follow-ups and proper homeopathic intervention, she achieved complete relief without any recurrence in the past year. This case reinforces the effectiveness of homeopathy in managing and curing urticaria cases.
