Busting Myth That Homeopathy Is Slow-Acting By Relieving 40 Years Of Chronic Allergic Bronchitis In A 62-Year-Old Lady

A 62-year-old lady retired school teacher, Mrs. S.D.R. (PIN: 42443) approached Life Force clinic on 25th January 2020 for the treatment of her complaints of Allergic bronchitis, which were bothering her since the age of 12.

She was suffering from allergic bronchitis for the last 40 years with severe dry cough, wheezing, and difficulty in breathing particularly while climbing upstairs.

Post her retirement, due to constant exposure to the construction work that was going on in her area, her complaints increased drastically, & which made her irritable & distressed. Every exposure to dust, strong odor, sour food, & even the change of weather further worsened her condition which even could be seen in her investigation report of IgE which was 1240 (High) in Dec 2019.

She was on allopathic tablets along with Foracort inhalers and nebulization three times a day which did not help. In addition to this, the patient was also suffering from an underactive thyroid, Diabetes Mellitus, and Hypertension for which she was under allopathic treatment.

The patient had tried all other treatment options for her complaints of allergic bronchitis such as allopathic, ayurvedic even homeopathy but nothing relieved her.

Physical Generals:

At Life Force, we took her detailed case history, and we observed that the patient was vegetarian and craved spicy food. She had scanty perspiration.

Psychological and Family Make-Up:

Her family comprised of her husband, who was also retired, and her two daughters who were happily married. Before her retirement, she loved her job as a teacher and would enjoy the company of children. She described herself as short-tempered and would lose control of herself when angry but would apologize later. Her anger was short-lived.

At Life Force:

Dr. Shah and his team analyzed the entire case and then prescribed research-based homeopathic medicines following which the patient was closely followed up for the changes.

Follow-Ups:

On her first follow-up after 2 months on 13th March 2020, the patient reported that the severity and duration of episodes had reduced. Her cough, breathlessness, and wheezing had reduced than before. Her sleep improved as well. With good progress in her health, further medicines were prescribed to her accordingly for eight weeks. She had also reduced the dose of allopathic medicines and inhalers.

On 2nd May 2020, the patient reported a further reduction in the duration of the episode with an improvement in her well-being in general. Her cough and breathlessness had reduced than before. The dependency on allopathic medicines was gradually tapered. She was overall much better with the medicines.

On 7th November 2020, the patient reported that she was 90% better with relief from all the complaints of allergic bronchitis. Her allopathic medicines were stopped completely for the same. She had experienced a great recovery from her disease. The patient was very happy with the results

On 5th July 2021, the patient updated that she was perfectly fine. She was experiencing a mild cough for the past few days, but its intensity was less than before. Breathlessness was no longer present. She had stopped using an inhaler and nebulizer. The patient was completely on homeopathic medicines only

On 23rd April 2022, the patient updated that she was perfectly fine now. There was no major episode of cough or breathlessness bothering her now. She would experience cough only after eating fried food sometimes but it was much less than before. She was perfectly fine now. The patient was very happy and satisfied with the treatment. She is continuing medicines to get complete recovery.

The patient thanked Dr. Shah and the whole Life Force team for treating her and improving her health.

Conclusion:

This case illustrates that a complicated chronic case of allergic bronchitis, which was dependent on conventional medicines & treated with multiple therapies, can be treated successfully with the right approach & right research-based Homeopathic medicines at Lifeforce. Thus, homeopathy can help treat chronic allergic bronchitis in the elderly incredibly and safely without any side effects. Also, it helps eliminate the dependency on nebulizers and other medicines.
