More than 10 million people suffer from eczema/atopic dermatitis per year in India. It is a chronic skin condition and happens to flare periodically. A 14-year-old boy from Navi Mumbai, Mast. D.W.D (PIN: 44036) was suffering from Atopic Dermatitis on the arms, legs, chest, back, and abdomen since 5 years. Physical Generals:
The patient had an average appetite. He had a specific desire for sweets, and his thirst had decreased. The patient’s sleep was good and refreshing. He was an underweight kid since childhood and was born prematurely in the 8th month.
Psychological and Family Make-Up:
The child was an 8th Std. student. His father was into some private food business. His mother was working in LIC. He had a 17-year-old elder brother.
Self and Family’s Medical History:
The patient had a history of epilepsy during childhood. As per his family’s medical history, his grandfather had diabetes.
At Life Force:
After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed homeopathic medicines along with some dietary tips to the patient.
Follow-Ups:
On 23rd February 2021, the patient’s parents reported that the skin patches were as it is. There was a 5% change in the lesion. Also, no new lesions were noticed on the skin. The child had experienced no major change with the medicines. Based on this feedback, Dr. Shah prescribed further medicines to the patient. Some vitamin supplements were also prescribed to him.
On 9th April 2021, the patient’s parents updated that he was better by 60% with the homeopathic medicines. The eruptions affected skin was healing. The itching had reduced. He was no longer experiencing burning discomfort. And, his weight had increased.
On 13th October 2021, the patient’s parents updated that the child was stable with the medicines. There was an overall improvement in his relief from the itching and eruption. On 16th February 2022, the patient’s relief in all symptoms was better by 95% and his condition was stable. He had no itching or burning discomfort. Also, no new eruption had appeared. He had not experienced any major episode in the last entire year. The child had experienced complete relief from cough and cold. The throat infection no longer affected him. The child had experienced an overall improvement in his health with the homeopathic medicines.
