A 46-years-old male, Mr. A.K.K. (PIN 26643) consulted at Life Force on 31st August 2015 with the complaint of cervical spondylitis.
He was suffering from constant pain and stiffness in the cervical region. His pain was affecting his shoulder & his hand. He felt better after warm application over the cervical region. He had taken the cold laser therapy, conventional treatment, & Ayurvedic treatment, but he found no significant relief with it. He felt that his complaints used to get aggravated by driving a two-wheeler. In his job, he had to sit in front of a computer at a stretch for 7-8 hours.
He was a vegetarian by diet. There was no significant liking or disliking with regards to the food. His thirst was average. His bowel and urination were normal. He perspired less. Due to the pain, his sleep was not sound.
He was married and had two children. He had a positive attitude. He was very emotional. He was a confident & positive thinker.
In his past, he had Vitamin D deficiency. For it, he had taken the required injection. Also, he had typhoid in the past.
His mother was suffering from thyroid complaint.
Dr. Shah studied his case in detail and prescribed a research-based medicine for his cervical spondylitis and also advised him to start physiotherapy.
After 2 months of the treatment on 3rd October 2015, he gave his follow-up and reported that there was no change in his neck pain but his relief from the stiffness was slightly improved. His cracking sound was also reduced. Due to the pain, his sleep was not sound.
On 2nd December 2015, he gave his follow-up & reported 50% improvement in his relief from the pain. His stiffness & cracking sound had also reduced.
On 17th March 2016, he informed that his condition was under control. His neck pain was reduced, but some pain in his hand & shoulder still persisted.
A few months later on 8th September 2016, when he gave a follow-up, he had experienced 60% improvement in his neck pain. His movability of neck too had improved. His small joint pain still persisted.
After a few months on 12th April 2017, he gave his feedback. His frequency of cervical pain attack was fairly reduced. But, after driving a two-wheeler for a long time, his pain had aggravated. So, his case was reviewed and the required changes were done by Dr. Shah.
On 15th September 2017, he reported 70% relief in his cervical pain. But, there was not much improvement observed in his pain of shoulder and hands. He was advised to do physiotherapy with the medicine. Dr. Shah advised him a few blood tests for further evaluation.
