A 20 yr old male Mr. K. J. (Patient ref no. L 7910) comes with the complaint of recurrent cold since childhood. The complaints had increased since one year. He suffered from sneezing, watering from the nose and nose block. The complaints were almost persistent and were aggravated by cold food, spicy food and dust. He was on allopathic treatment for the same but would require it repeatedly and it would give him only temporary relief.

Patient was a man with an average built, having craving for spicy food. He preferred warm weather. He was short tempered and be easily angered but calmed quickly. He would not prefer dark places though he was not afraid of it.

He had a family history of ischemic heart disease and glaucoma. On examination, a deviated nasal septum was found.

Based on this history, Phosphorus 200 was prescribed. His sneezing, nose blocks reduced. After treatment, for about 10 months, the patient is free from the constant colds. He had been off all allopathic medicines for a long time after starting homeopathic treatment.
