Old female from Tamil nadu got relief for her Atopic dermatitis by Homoepathy

A 64-year-old lady, a native of Tamil Nadu, Mrs. M.T. (Patient ID: 54724), visited Life Force at the Bangalore clinic on 5th June 2024. She had been suffering from a skin disease called atopic dermatitis for the last three months. It had affected her palms, hands, groin, and axilla. It used to erupt once a week and would worsen with climatic changes and sweat. She used to suffer from itching, redness, and swelling. She was applying steroid creams for the same.

She had also been suffering from hypercholesterolemia for the last few months, and she had taken conventional treatment to keep it under control.

Her appetite was normal with a vegetarian diet in routine. She liked fruits and vegetables. Her thirst was normal. There was generalized perspiration. She would always feel better in a moderately warm climate. Her bowel movements were regular and without any issues. Her urine was normal. Her sleep was sound.

She was a retired person and now a full-time homemaker, staying with her daughter and travelling between Chennai and Bangalore. Her husband’s demise was just 6 months back. The patient’s parents had suffered from hypertension and arthritis.

She was a very mild and sober person. She had a good memory. She was reserved and did not like socializing much. She wept easily and was irritable because she couldn’t fight back or hit anyone normally.

Dr. Shah studied the whole case in detail and prescribed research-based medicine.

Follow-ups:

The patient gave the first follow-up on 25th August 2024. She was better, but, as she had traveled to cold places where the temperature was low, the eruptions and rash around her hands had developed again.

After another month in September 2024, her Atopic Dermatitis had aggravated. Her skin was dry, rough, with itching and rash around the eyes.

After another six months, Dr. Shah restudied the case, and she was 80% better. Rashes would develop only if she went out in the sun or sweated.

After a few more months of treatment, her Atopic Dermatitis was better, itching had decreased, the roughness of the skin had decreased, but the hypopigmented spot remained. Her herpetic eruptions had disappeared.

In her last follow-up on 21st March 2025, her Atopic Dermatitis was good, and the hypopigmented spot had reduced and further disappeared.

She was very happy because, for some time, she was completely asymptomatic and cured of the itchy and irritating skin problem from which she had been suffering for a long time. This case illustrates that homeopathy is quite effective in treating skin problems like atopic dermatitis successfully at the root level and safely without side effects.
