A case of chronic tonsillitis showed 90 per cent improvement with life force homoeopathy treatment.

A 38-year-old male patient (Patient ID: 45223) approached Life Force Homoeopathy for treatment of recurrent tonsilliitis. On 24th April 2021, a questionnaire and photos of his swollen tonsils were sent by the patient. The patient’s complaint started after having carrot juice in 2014, and from that day, he has had recurrent tonsillitis. He had a recurrent history of cold, throat irritation, and difficulty in breathing due to swollen tonsils. These episodes occurred 2 to 3 times a month and lasted for 6-7 days. Suppuration was occasionally present on the tonsils. The complaints used to get worse after having cold drinks and ice cream. The patient used to take antihistamines occasionally and was on homeopathic treatment for the past 2 months, but with no relief.

Associated complaints:

He had polyarthralgia and otitis media, which were also improved by Life Force treatment.

Physical generals:

The patient is of average build, has a good appetite, and normal urinary and bowel habits. Sometimes there is burning micturition when he drinks less water. He is ambithermal and can tolerate both a hot and a cold environment. Sleep is sound. The patient mainly craves spicy and non-vegetarian food.

Life space:

The patient is a proprietor. He lives with his father, mother, wife, and two children.

Mental generals:

The patient gets irritated due to misunderstandings or quarrels between his wife and mother. In a sad or depressed state, he feels like doing nothing, feels like leaving his job, and staying at home.

Past History: The patient had suffered from chickenpox in 2000.

Family history: The patient’s sister has a complaint of recurrent rhinitis.

After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed homeopathic medicines along with dietary advice to the patient.

Follow-ups:

In the first follow-up dated 10th June 2021, there was a 50% improvement seen. The frequency and duration of complaints decreased, with a frequency once in 20 to 25 days and a duration of 1 to 2 days. No suppuration was seen, and there was no need to take any other medicine.

On 28th September 2021, there was a slight aggravation in complaints. There was continuous throat pain, a runny nose, fever, and dry cough for 15 days, and he was on allopathic medicines. The duration of the episode was longer.

In the next follow-up dated 15th January 2022, much improvement was seen in the last 3 months. There were very few episodes, and the intensity of complaints was also lower. Drug dependency was nil.

On 30th May 2022, overall improvement was seen with a 4-month duration.

Follow-up of 16th January 2023: During the 8 months, there were 3 to 4 episodes of pain in the throat, but the intensity was mild, and the patient took allopathic medication for acute episodes.

On 6th July 2023, the patient experienced a 90% improvement in his complaints. He had one episode of pain and cold in March 2023, but it lasted for a shorter duration and subsided with allopathic medications.

Follow-up of 19th December 2023: It was observed that there was no episode in the last 1.5 months.

In follow-up of 19th April 2024, it was observed that there was only 1 episode in the last 4 months, which recovered without any treatment.

In follow-up of 5th October 2024, it was observed that there had been no major episode since May 2024.

In the recent follow-up of 27th June 2025, there is an overall improvement seen, and there is no major episode noticed within 8 months.

Conclusion:

A case of chronic tonsillitis started showing better improvement within 2 months of starting treatment from Life Force Homoeopathy. In this case, an overall 80-90% improvement is seen. The frequency, duration, and severity of the episodes decreased, and the patient has great relief. The patient was taking homeopathy for his complaint, but was not better earlier; hence, it is necessary to prescribe the right medicine to get better results. This case majorly proves that a Homoeopath can be wrong, but not Homoeopathy.
