An 11-years-old girl, Ms. D.D. (PIN 24746) consulted at Life Force for her lichen planus complaints on the 4th February 2015. She had developed hyperpigmented, scattered, & spherical spots on her shoulder, right eyelid, and her both legs and hands since one year. Her disease had progressed gradually. She had applied steroid on it. After stopping its application, her eruptions had got aggravated gradually. Apart from lichen planus, she was also suffering from constipation. Her motion was hard.

The patient was of average build. She was non-vegetarian by diet. She desired salty and less spicy food. She liked eating vegetables, fruits, fried fish, and chicken biryani. Her thirst was very less. Her perspiration was mainly on palm and sole. Her bowel movements were hard and irregular. Her sleep was sound. 

Her father was a businessman and her mother was a homemaker. She had one elder brother, who was studying in class 6th.

There was no specific past history. In her family, her father’s sister was suffering from some skin complaint which was cured. Except this, no other specific history was available.

She was an emotional and sensitive child. Whenever she used to get angry, she used to start crying. She was a happy child, but some-days she was depressed due to black spots on her body.

Dr. Shah studied her case in detail and prescribed three doses of Natrum Muriaticum 30 and research-based molecule to the patient.

On 9th April 2015, when she gave her first follow-up, her complaints had started to show a good improvement. All her spots had turned dull in color and her itching had also reduced.

A few months later on 30th September 2015, when the patient gave her follow-up, the patient informed that some new eruptions had appeared and previous ones were under control. Dr. Shah made the required changes in the diet.

A few months later on 26th February 2016, she informed that no new spots appeared. Spots on her hand and eyelid had improved, but her spots on the legs had slightly increased. Her anxiety was also improved.

On 22nd October 2016, she informed a good improvement in her condition. Her condition was improved by more than 50%. Her mouth ulcers, which had appeared a few months back, were totally cured and her relief from constipation had improved by more than 70%.

On 6th April 2017, when she gave her follow-up, her condition was improved drastically. She got 70% improvement in all her symptoms. Her well-being was also improved.

The patient gave her follow-up on 13th November 2017. No new spots had appeared. Her condition was good and under control.

On her follow-up on 6th January 2018, she reported 80% improvement in her condition. Only dull, hyper-pigmented spots were observed. Her relief from constipation was improved as well as her anxiety level was reduced. She was happy with the result.

The patient is still continuing the homeopathic treatment from Life Force for further improvement.

Conclusion:

This case highlights that homeopathy effectively treats skin conditions like lichen planus effectively, safely, and without any side-effects.
