Mr. P.R.S (Patient Identification Number 15690) visited Life Force on 24th March 2011 for the complaint of Urticaria. He was suffering since last 2 months. He was getting 3-4 episodes of Urticaria every day. He would get red hives with severe itching almost all over the body. Itching would get worse at night. Lips and eyelids would get swollen up at least twice in a month. He was taking T Avil 25mg (antihistamine) 2-3 times a day since almost a month. He would feel better for 7-8 hours till the effect of antihistamine would last. He had started developing side effects of antihistamine like drowsiness.

He was vegetarian with average appetite. He was fond of sweets. Thirst and bowel habits were normal. He would perspire more on back and neck. He would feel more comfortable in cold weather. Sleep was sometimes disturbed due to itching.

Mr. P.R.S was a carpenter, staying in nuclear family with his wife and children. He was short tempered by nature. When angry, he would feel like hitting opposite person, but he would control his anger. He had become irritable since last 2 months due to Urticaria. As he was experiencing side effects of antihistamine, like drowsiness, he was not able to concentrate on his work. That was making him more irritable.

He submitted his first follow up on 29th April 2011. Intensity of itching had reduced. He had Angioedema only one in last 6 weeks. He could reduce the intake of T. Avil to twice a day. On 24th December 2011, he reported 50-60% improvement. He did not have Angioedema episode for last 2-3 months. He was getting itching and rashes once in 2-3 days. Intensity of the complaints was better by 50-60%. He had further reduced the intake of antihistamine to once in 4-5 days.

By 23rd April 2012, he was 90% recovered from Urticaria. He could stop the antihistamine. He would get mild itching and rashes once in 15-20 days. He was very happy to see such smooth and gentle recovery. Severe form of Urticaria sometimes require long term homeopathic treatment.
