She was suffering from it for the past four years. Lichen planus spots were present on her hands, legs, and back. She was experiencing a lot of itching on the skin. The itching was very intense all the time. She was experiencing the burning sensation on her skin, particularly after scratching the skin. She was on conventional medicines for the same, but her lichen planus was spreading and her relief from it was not improving at all. She also informed that, for the past few years, she was experiencing a lot of stress in her life and, after that, this problem has started.
She had an average appetite with specific desires for sweets. Her thirst for water was average. Her sleep was normal, but she often used to get scary dreams.
She was studying in a college. She was living with her parents. She was experiencing stress related to her studies often. She used to get quite tensed before her exams. She had a very sensitive nature. She used to turn anxious with regards to small or trivial things always.
She never had any other major illnesses in the past. There was no major illness present in her family.
After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed her some research-based homeopathic medicines.
Follow-Ups:
She experienced a great improvement in her relief from lichen planus in the first follow-up. On 28th August 2018, the patient reported that she was 40% percent better with regards to her relief from the complaint. No new spots of lichen planus had appeared after starting with the treatment. The spread of the disease had stopped. Her relief from the itching was better. She was very happy with the results.
On 22nd October 2018, the patient informed me that she was almost 40% better with the medicines. Her itching had reduced than before. There was no spread of disease, and it was totally under control. She was overall better with the medicines.
On 27th December 2018, she was almost 70% better with her relief from the complaints of lichen planus. The spread of the disease had stopped completely. The old spots were fading gradually. The itching was not present anymore. There was an overall improvement in her skin texture.
On 6th May 2019, the patient updated further improvement in her recovery from lichen planus. Her recovery from the complaints was 90% better. Only hyperpigmented spots were present on her skin. No new spots had appeared, and there was no spreading of the disease. Her relief from the itching was completely better. The patient was completely better with homeopathic medicines.
