He was suffering from lichen planus for the past 4 years. Hyperpigmented lesions were present on his scalp. He had the complaint of severe itching. Also, he was experiencing extensive hair fall because of lichen planus. His lichen planus lesions were spreading and increasing day-by-day gradually. He had taken conventional treatment in the past and had used many steroid-based ointments, but there was not much difference with it. On learning his medical and lifestyle history in detail, it was found that he had a lot of work-related stress for the past three to four years and, due to that, lichen planus had stared. He was also having diabetes mellitus from the last five to six years and it was under control with conventional medicines.
He had an average appetite with specific desires for fruits. His thirst was average. His sleep was perfect. He was a businessman and stress was always there because of it.
He was living with his wife and 2 years old daughter. He was very mild by nature. He had a reserved nature, and he did not mix with people easily. He had stress related to work and business and it was increasing day-by-day.
He never had any other major illnesses in the past. His mother and father suffered from diabetes mellitus.
After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed him some research-based homeopathic medicines.
There was a drastic change in his condition was observed in the first follow-up on 29th January 2018. He was 20% better than earlier with the medicines. His itching was reduced by 20%. The lesions were not spreading anymore. The patient noticed that no new spots were developing on the scalp. The old hyperpigmentation marks of the spots were as it is. His hair fall had reduced. The patient used to apply ointment when the itching was very intense. He was overall stable with the medicines.
On 24th April 2018, the patient reported being almost 50% better than earlier with the medicines. His itching had reduced a lot. The spread of the disease had stopped completely. The hair fall complaint of the patient was almost 50% reduced. The active lesions on his scalp had reduced. The hyperpigmented marks were becoming lighter day-by-day. The patient was very happy with the treatment.
On 17th September 2018, the patient updated that his recovery from the complaints was 90% better. The itching had stopped completely. There was no spread since it started with the homeopathic treatment. Hair fall was very less. The recovery from the marks on the scalp was almost 90% better now. The patient was satisfied a lot and happy with the treatment.
