Anju, 36 yrs old lady, came to the clinic with complaints of angioneurotic urticaria. She had swelling of eyes, face, neck, ears. The itching would be severe. She would get attacks of urticaria two times a week and would last for 2 to 3 days. She was on antihistaminic and oral steroids, with little relief of the urticaria.
She had contact dermatitis on the fingers for 4 years. There would be scaling of the skin, with itching. Her dermatitis would be worst with detergents and soaps.
There was no family history of urticaria. Her mother had asthma.
Her case was evaluated as per the homeopathic protocols. She was prescribed Dr Shah’s patented medicines for urticaria.
First follow up
In 4 weeks, her urticaria was 50% better. The swelling over the eyes, lips reduced considerably. The itching was reduced by 75%. She was relieved. The frequency of urticaria was reduced to once a week. Her contact dermatitis was better.
Second follow up
In the next follow-up, her urticaria was further better. She would get skin rash over the body, but the swelling on eyes, lips, and face had stopped.
Thirsd follow up
In 6 months of treatment, her urticaria was 75% better and there was no relapse.
