Life Force Homeopathy Ends Years of Urticaria Suffering
Mrs. S.T., a 65-year-old female from Goregaon, Mumbai, visited Life Force Homeopathy in July 2019 (Patient ID: 40612) for Urticaria with Angioedema. She had severe itching, especially in the scalp and vulva, with raised erythematous hives, and numbness in the affected area
Angioedema (swelling on lips and eyes). Aggravating factors were consuming non-vegetarian proteins, gluten, and wheat. Relieving Factors were Cetirizine (SOS), dietary restriction (avoided wheat & milk since May 2019). Frequency was once a week (since mid-June 2019); more frequent in Feb 2019; absent in May–June 2019 after naturopathy. The duration lasted for 2–3 days without antihistamine; 1 day with antihistamine. The intensity was moderate to severe.
Associated Complaints:
Leg Pain & Weakness: Stiffness, heaviness in calves, difficulty walking more than 1.5–2 km. Weakness and lethargy.
Hypertension: History of angioplasty (2 years back), maintained on Telma 40, Ecosprin 75, Tanact
Hypothyroidism: Long-standing, gradual weight gain, lethargy
Diabetes Mellitus: Controlled with Glycophage 500
Mind & Emotional State: Mild, gentle, soft-spoken, and cannot fight back or be rude. Emotionally strong but sensitive; tears while sharing personal struggles. Financial stress of the House under redevelopment – no rent for 3 years. Son is unemployed, struggling with a chronic fungal infection. Estranged relationship with daughter.
Dr. Rajesh Shah studied the case in detail, considering her multiple systemic conditions, food triggers, stress factors, and emotional sensitivity. A personalized homeopathic prescription was given to reduce hypersensitivity and recurrent urticaria to address angioedema episodes. Blood investigations were suggested, and regular follow-ups were taken.
Follow-ups:
Follow-up on 30.09.2019: She was doing much better. The episodes were less intense.
Follow up on 02.03.2020: No rashes in the last 2–3 months; gap of 1.5 months in treatment.
Follow-up on 23.07.2020: Condition stabilized again. Marked overall improvement with rare episodes. Patient’s confidence in treatment increased.
Follow-up on 17.02.2022: After stopping treatment in August 2020, the patient reported a relapse. Hives appeared daily with burning and swelling on the face, lasting 4–5 hours.
It was decided to restart homeopathic treatment to control the reappearance.
Follow up on 07.06.2022:
Excellent improvement noted. Overall, 90% better.
No major urticaria episodes; mild pigmentation on the forehead persisted.
No need for regular antihistamine use.
Follow up on 04.08.2022: Only 1 to 2 minor episodes in the last month. Hives appeared around the eyebrows and vulva, with mild swelling of the lips lasting for 2 days. She experienced occasional numbness of the lips, which resolved without intervention.
Follow-up on 28.05.2023: The patient discontinued medicines for 8 months, leading to a relapse. Itching and hives returned, requiring Allegra 2–3 times/month. Medicines were restarted, and dietary triggers were reviewed and addressed again.
Follow-up on 30.09.2023: Continued progress. Itching around the vulva is 60% better. Only 2 antihistamine doses/month were needed. Episodes were less intense and self-limiting.
Follow-up on 2.08.2024: Sustained remission and near-cure achieved.
The patient reported no urticaria episodes, no itching, no swelling, and no antihistamine use.
Skin remained clear and healthy. The patient expressed high satisfaction and relief from her long-standing chronic urticaria.
