A 50-year-old female patient from Thane, Mrs. S. B. (PIN: 42736) visited Life Force Homeopathy Thane branch and started treatment for her complaint of Urticaria on 24th February 2020.The patient was suffering from urticaria for the last 10 years. She was asymptomatic for the last 8 years, but, suddenly in the last 3 months, she started experiencing episodes of urticaria. The rashes used to come once in 3 to 4 days, and they would stay for 2-3 hours. The itching and rashes were present all over her body. The swelling was present on her eyes and lips (angioedema). The patient had to take anti-allergic tablets during the episode.
Physical Generals
Her appetite was average. She had no specific desire or aversion to any specific food. Her thirst for water was average. She had no issues related to the urine and stool. Her sleep was sound and refreshing.
Psychological and Family Make-Up
The patient was a housewife. Her husband was working in a private firm. She had a son, who was studying in college. She was very mild and sensitive.
Personal and Family’s Medical History
The patient had not suffered from any other major illness in the past. Her mother suffered from diabetes, and her father had hypertension.
At Life Force
After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed some research-based homeopathic medicines to the patient.
Follow-Ups
On 19th May 2020, the patient reported that there were changes in her condition with the medicines. The frequency of episodes had reduced to once in 2 to 3 weeks. She was still getting rashes with itching but the intensity was less. There was no swelling over her eyes and lips during the episode. She had stopped taking all other medicines and was only on homeopathy.
On 26th November 2020, the patient reported that she was a lot better with the homeopathic medicines. She had experienced severe itching with rashes a few days before when she consumed sour food, but now she was fine. Now, hardly 1-2 rashes occurred on her skin with very little itching. The patient was overall better with the medicines.
On 6th August 2021, the patient reported that she was further better with the homeopathic medicines. She no more experienced any major episode of urticaria now. The complaint of the swelling on her eyes or lips was no longer present. She had stopped antihistamines since she started with homeopathy. She had experienced an overall recovery with the homeopathic medicines. The patient was very happy with the results.
