A 43-year-old lady (PIN: 36367) visited Life Force Homeopathy clinic for her complaints of Urticaria on 2nd April 2018.
The patient had been complaining of urticaria from two years. There used to be reddish spots all over her body with severe itching and burning pains. The spots used to appear daily. Her complaints used to get aggravated mostly by pressure, change in the temperature, due to the hot weather, and by intake of various food items, such as milk products, sour food, peanuts, and similar other foods. Her relief from the complaints used to get a little better after having coffee.
Her Serum IgE levels were also high (438 IU/mL).
The patient used to take anti-histamines Allegra and Betnesol Forte on a daily basis.
She had also tried Ayurvedic medicines but did not get any relief.
The patient was following a mixed diet. She was having cravings for spicy and Chinese food. Thermally, she was hot. The patient had disturbed sleep and mostly slept on her back.
The patient had a supportive family. She was an anxious lady and wanted to be perfect in all her work. Due to her hectic schedules, she felt guilty as she was unable to spend time with her son.
The patient was expressive in nature and did not keep anything in her mind.
After studying her case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed her research-based molecules for 6 weeks.
First follow up
On her first follow-up on 22nd May 2018, the patient was overall 30% better. She was prescribed medicines for another 6 weeks.
The patient was taking medicines regularly and following an appropriate diet and was avoiding the foodstuffs which aggravated her complaints.
Second follow up
When the patient reported on 4th September 2018, the patient's relief from the complaints was 80% better. The frequency of episodes which was daily initially had reduced to twice a week. The intensity of each episode had also significantly reduced. She had stopped taking tablet Betnesol Forte.
Third follow up
After taking medicines for 7 months, the patient was 95% better. Her intensity and frequency of episodes had greatly reduced. She had also stopped taking conventional medicines.
The patient was so happy with the result that she personally had gone to meet Dr. Shah to thank him for the treatment.
The patient had even started eating the foodstuffs which initially caused aggravation of her complaints.
Fourth follow up
The patient in her last follow-up on 23rd May 2019 was 100% better. She occasionally had mild complaints only due to pressure but they subsided on their own.
The patient was very happy with the treatment and continued taking homeopathy. She also started the treatment for her son.
Conclusion:
This case highlights that homeopathy helps in treating allergic skin conditions like Urticaria and also reduces the need for taking conventional medicines safely without any side-effects.
