A 28-years-male (PIN 32441) visited the clinic of Life Force Homeopathy on 16th June 2017 with the complaints of urticarial rash all over his body. It had started 6 months back on both his arms and then gradually spread to the whole body. He complained of severe burning, itching, and redness which used to get intensified on having eggs, spicy seasoned food, sour food, milk, or pickles. He was taking anti-histamine but got no relief from it.
Personal History:
He had an intense craving for eggs and paneer, which he was avoiding because of his complaints. He had an excessive thirst for a small quantity of water frequently and was easily affected by the cold in general.
The patient had a past medical history of Tinea Corporis (ringworm) and malaria. The mother of the patient also had a similar history of skin complaints.
Self And Family Set-Up:
He was an introvert person. He liked to stay alone. He used to get irritates easily on small matters.
He came to Mumbai in 2016 for studying animation. His family lives in Madhya Pradesh. He was a single child. His father was a farmer and mother a homemaker.
Prescription:
Dr. Shah studied the case in detail and prescribed research-based medicines to the patient. He was also given the necessary instructions regarding the diet and regimen.
First follow up
During his first follow-up in July 2017, the patient reported an improvement in all his complaints. The intensity of his complaints had reduced significantly. Also, his need for anti-histamine was reduced.
Second follow up
By September 2017, there was around 75%-80 % improvement in the patient’s condition. The patient had stopped taking anti-histamines. Also, the frequency of his discomfort had reduced to once in 4-5 days.
Third follow up
On 5th December 2017, the patient reported of taking anti-histamine once. The noteworthy fact was that this episode was very mild from what he used to suffer earlier.
Fourth follow up
In January 2018, he reported a significant improvement in the relief from the intensity and frequency of urticaria. Now, he had even started having eggs. He didn't need to take any other medication.
Fifth follow up
By 5th March 2018, the patient was completely relieved of urticaria. He had no further complaints; hence the treatment was stopped.
Conclusion:
This case is a wonderful example of how rapidly homeopathy works. Homeopathy not just soothes or palliates the symptoms of urticaria but can also actually stimulate the body to help it heal by itself. So, homeopathy should be strongly recommended for treating urticaria.
