A middle-aged male patient (PIN:13145) visited Life Force Clinic on 7th January 2010 with a complaint of Urticaria. He was suffering from this complaint for 5 years. The frequency of his complaints was thrice a week, and it would last for 3-4 hours. There were weals with burning sensation present all over his body. There was a mild dermatographism present. For this complaint, he was on antihistamines for 5 years with a partial relief from it. He was also suffering from hypertension for a long time.
The patient was having a mixed diet and had an average appetite. He had cravings for fish and chicken. His thirst and perspiration were average. His bowels and bladder were regular. His sleep was sound. He was working as an architect. No major stress was found on inquiry. He was a short-tempered person, and he would express his anger by shouting. He wanted his tasks/things to be done by his way. He was a friendly person.
There was a past history of malaria and chicken pox in his childhood. He had a family history of hypertension. After reviewing his case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed him with some research-based molecules.
First follow up
On 8th March 2010, the patient reported that he was better by around 50%. He had stopped taking his anti-histamines. He was still having the rashes but with a lesser intensity.
Second follow up
On 17th May 2010, the patient reported that his complaints have been further relieved.
Third follow up
On 22nd July 2010, the patient reported a significant relief in his complaints. There was around 80% to 90% relief in his complaints. He had stopped taking his allopathic medicines for the same. He was very happy and satisfies with the treatment.
Conclusion:
This case illustrates that homeopathy is beneficial and highly effective in treating urticaria cases successfully and safely without any side-effects. Homeopathy offers a long-lasting relief from urticaria and minimizes the dependency on antihistamines to a great extent.
