Mrs. BPM aged 48 years (Patient Identification Number 12886) visited Life Force on 7th November 2009 for the treatment of Urticaria.
She was suffering from Urticaria since 1 year. She would get hives mostly on the upper part of her body. Her palms and soles also used to get affected. She would get hives everyday which would last for half an hour to one hour. There was dermatographism. There was severe itching and burning sensation. She would get these rashes after having sour food, getting in contact of jewelry and from friction. She would get urticaria in the summer and due to heat in any form. She was sensitive to heat and always required cool air. She would feel better in air conditioner and application of ice. She was on anti- histamine tablets; however it would give her only temporary relief.
She had an average appetite. She had marked cravings for chocolates and marked aversion for sour food stuffs as it would aggravate her Urticaria complaints. Her bowel, urination was normal but sleep was disturbed due to itching. Her menses were regular.
She was very sensitive by nature. She would get upset very easily; even for small matters and would cry easily. She was very attached to her family. She would get irritated very easily and especially when some one contradicted her. She had a fear of incurable diseases as if she would suffer from it life long.
Dr. Rajesh Shah studied his case in detail and prescribed his research based medicines along with her constitutional remedy.
First follow up
After 2 months of medication her Urticaria reduced by 30%. There was some improvement in dermatography.
Second follow up
After 4 months of medication there was 50% improvement. Itching had reduced considerably. By this time she was able to wear jewelry. The frequency and duration of urticaria also reduced. There was reduced intake of anti-histamine medicines.
Third follow up
After 6 months of medicines there was around 50 % improvement, but some how there was no further improvement. So Dr. Shah made some necessary changes in the prescription.
Fourth follow up
After 9 months of medication there was significant improvement in Urticaria by 75%. She continued the medicines.
Fifth follow up
After 12 months of treatment she fully recovered from her Urticaria problem.
She was very happy to get rid of this complaint.
