Homeopathy Frees Patient from 20-Year Chronic Asthma, Eliminating Medication Dependency
A 20-year history of recurrent allergic asthma in a patient from Bijapur was resolved with homeopathic treatment over eighteen months. Symptoms including breathlessness, chest tightness, and dry cough reduced gradually, enabling him to stop inhalers and conventional medications. Even with exposure to triggers, he remained stable. One of our old patients, Mr. K. P. (Patient ID: 46626) from Bijapur, India, called the Life Force Mulund clinic on the 5th of Jan 2024 inquiring about homeopathic treatment for his recurrent allergic asthma. The complaints started 20 years ago and were more recurrent in the last month.
He had shortness of breath, tightness of chest, and a dry cough with difficulty in lying down, triggered by exposure to the slightest dust or smoke, a change in weather, and damp weather. He had taken an inhaler and steroid medication for every episode for the last 20 years. But in recent months, his general health was affected due to these episodes, and he was having weakness, and his capacity to work and daily routine were affected. In addition to that, the inhaler provided only partial relief. He was taking a bronchodilator and an antihistamine twice daily and an inhaler whenever he had an acute episode, which happened two to three times every week.
Personal Space
The patient worked at a thermal power plant, where he was exposed to dust, coal, and ash particles. Also, recently, he had cleaned out his old home, where he was again exposed to dust and pigeon debris.
Family History of Illnesses
The patient's paternal uncle, maternal grandfather, and aunt had asthma.
Past History of Illnesses
The patient mentioned being obese and found to be pre-diabetic, and was following strict dietary and lifestyle changes with regular exercise. The patient had suffered from laryngopharyngeal reflux in the past, for which
he had taken homeopathic treatment from Life Force and was completely recovered from it.
At Life Force
Based on his entire case details, Dr Shah prescribed him homeopathic medicines for eight weeks. He was advised for few investigations and counselled regarding dietary and lifestyle changes.
Follow-Ups
At the first follow-up on 1st of March 2024, the patient gave feedback that his complaints had reduced and that he had stopped inhaler for a week. He still had episodes of breathlessness whenever exposed to dust, but they were milder in severity. Based on his feedback, he was prescribed again by Dr. Shah for a period of eight weeks.
At the end of another eight weeks, on the 1st of May 2024, the patient mentioned that he had no episodes in the last eight weeks and he did not require any conventional medication, including an inhaler, despite being exposed to dust during changes in weather or playing sports.
During the next four months, the patient was stable with no episodes of breathlessness or any other complaints. Despite being exposed to triggering factors, he did not have any major episodes requiring conventional medications. He was accordingly prescribed by Dr Shah for an eight-week duration.
On the 14th of December 2024, the patient happily mentioned he had been free from all conventional treatment for the last four to five months. Also, despite the change in weather and monsoon climate and being exposed to dust, he was not having any complaints. He was prescribed by Dr. Shah for an eight-week duration and advised to continue his treatment further.
During the next four months, the patient mentioned being stable. There was one episode of chest tightness due to a weather change, and the patient took one dose of the inhaler.
His recent follow-up on the 9th of May 2025 showed he was stable with no complaints and did not require conventional medications. Accordingly, he was prescribed by Dr. Shah for another eight weeks.
The patient was very relieved and happy that his complaints of 20 years had subsided in merely eighteen months with homeopathic treatment. He is free from conventional medications and inhalers.
Conclusions
The above case study shows the effectiveness of homeopathic medicines in such a chronic asthmatic patient who was dependent on the inhalers, steroids, and bronchodilators for the past 20 years. This was a complex case, as there was a strong genetic predisposition as well. With homeopathy, the patient was completely free from his complaints and dependency on conventional treatments as well.
Also, to be noted, the patient had availed of online treatment, and not once had he visited the clinic.
