A 48-years-old lady, Mrs. P.Y.S. (PIN 31466) visited Life Force on 1st March 2017 with the complaints of urticaria and hair fall. The patient was suffering from urticaria since one year. Her disease had progressed in the last two weeks. At the time of consultation, her face and scalp were affected by the disease. She was suffering from severe itching and burning. The patient had wheel-like eruptions on the affected body parts. No angioedema was present in her case.

Apart from urticaria, she was also suffering from hair fall since two years. Approximately, her 50 to 60 hair strands fell down per day. Her hair density was reduced by more than 50%.

The patient was vegetarian by diet. Her appetite & thirst were average. She liked sweets very much. She was hot patient. Her motion, urine, perspiration, and sleep were normal. There was no specific dream. 

In her family, her father was suffering from hypertension. She had suffered from gestational diabetes in the past.

She was a home-maker. Her husband was doing a job in stock exchange. Her son was 23-years-old. 

She was joyful in nature. She loved reading religious books a lot. She was a confident lady. She didn’t take stress and preferred to take her own decision. She didn’t like to gossip and talk continuously. She wept rarely. Occasionally, she used to turn irritable. 

After studying her case in detail, she was prescribed research-based molecule for her urticaria complaint. 

First follow up

After 2 months of medication on 24th April 2017, when the patient gave her follow-up, there was no improvement observed in the eruptions and itching. So, Dr. Shah made the required changes.

Second follow up

When the patient gave her next follow-up on 5th June 2017, she had experienced 50% improvement in relief from all the symptoms. Her redness, roughness, and itching of eruptions had reduced by more than 50%. There was no change in her hair fall complaint.

Third follow up

On 11th October 2017, when she gave her follow-up, relief from all her symptoms had improved by 70%. All symptoms, such as itching, redness, wheel formation, and sensitivity, were reduced by more than 70%. She also experienced 50% reduction in hair fall. The patient was very happy with her improvement. 

She is still continuing our medicine for further recovery.

Conclusion:

This case highlights that homeopathy is highly effective in treating and minimizing the discomfort resulting due to urticaria.
