A 59-years-old average looking retired female nurse, Mrs. V. S. C. (PIN 19831) visited the Life Force’s Borivali branch on 5th September 2012.
The lady was suffering from urticaria (hives) since 15 years. She used to develop eruptions every day all over her body that used to last until she would take anti-histaminic medicine. Eruptions used to reappear every day with intense itching, swelling, and redness of the parts. She had experienced an episode of angioedema in the beginning of urticarial episodes. There were no specific factors that would trigger the complaint. She took allopathic and Ayurvedic treatment many times, but no remarkable changes were observed
Besides urticaria, she also had hair fall and dandruff for many years.
She had an average stature, and she used to have a vegetarian diet. She had a strong liking for sweets. She used to consume an average quantity of water. She was sensitive to heat, and she used to experience profuse perspiration on her face and back. Her bowel habits were normal, passing satisfactory stools every day. She enjoyed a sound & refreshing sleep.
Her father had diabetes mellitus over the years. Her brother was suffering from urticaria.
She was very reserved and affectionate. She liked peace and never used to express her anger also.
Dr. Shah studied the case in detail and prescribed her one of the research-based medicines for six weeks.
First follow up
After six weeks of the treatment on 12th October 2012, when she gave her first follow-up, there was 50% improvement in her relief from the complaints. The frequency of eruptions had reduced i.e. it used to appear on the body after an interval of two-three days. And, gradually, the frequency of taking antihistamines was also reduced to once in three days.
Second follow up
On 2nd March 2013, she reported online that there was 85% improvement in her relief from the complaints. Intensity and frequency of urticaria had reduced. She had stopped her antihistamine drugs. She was satisfied with treatment.
Third follow up
On 29th Jan 2014, when she visited for a follow-up, her complaint had aggravated since 20 days. Her itching and frequency of hives had also increased. Dr. Shah studied her case again and prescribed revised medication.
Fourth follow up
On 2nd Feb 2015, when she visited for a follow-up, there was again 50% improvement in her condition. Frequency and intensity were also reduced. Her dandruff was also reduced by 75%.
Fifth follow up
On 20th September 2016, when she gave her follow-up over the phone, her condition was as it is without any increase or decrease in her discomfort.
Sixth follow up
When she filled-up the online form on 3rd October 2017, there was 80% improvement in her relief from the complaints. Frequency and intensity were also reduced.
Seventh follow up
On 12th December 2017, when she gave follow-up online, there was 90% improvement in her condition. Itching and the frequency of hives had reduced a lot. She stopped her antihistamine drugs. Her hair fall was also reduced.
Conclusion:
This case highlights that homeopathy is effective in reducing the dependency on antihistamine drug without any side-effects and heals the body completely.
