A 35-years-old young gentleman, Mr. A. S. (PIN 9742) had been effectively cured of prostatitis a few years back with Dr. Shah’s medicines. He visited us again on 22nd May 2012, as he had developed a few spots of alopecia areata on the beard area. He had observed these spots 20 days ago while shaving. He was already being treated for vitiligo by Dr. Shah.

His diet was mixed, and he had no specific liking or disliking. He was sensitive to the warm weather. 

He was a marine engineer working in a ship. He was married but did not have any kids. His father had retired from the navy. His mother was a homemaker. His younger brother and sister were married and settled. 

He was calm and adjusting in nature. His father suffered from diabetes. His mother suffered from disc prolapse. 

Dr. Shah prescribed a research-based medicine to him. 

He visited us on 22nd November 2012 and reported around 50% improvement in the spots. The patches were healing, and there was hair growth visible in them. He took medicines for another 6 weeks and got completely cured of the patches. There were no new patches and no spread. The patches had completely recovered. He visited us after a year for some other complaint. He was happy to report no relapse in alopecia and complete cure. 

Conclusion:

This case highlights that homeopathy is quite effective in curing alopecia areata completely without any side-effects.
