A 25-year-old female graphic designer (PIN: 32431) visited our clinic for her small, itchy reddish eruptions on her extremities, chest abdomen, and face, which was quite irritating one. It had appeared 8 months back. She was already on steroids, but she had got no improvement with that. So, she wanted to shift to homeopathic treatment. It was spreading gradually to her other body areas. She had a strong family history of autoimmune diseases, such as lichen planus and diabetes.
She was a non-vegetarian. She liked eating chicken and spicy foods. She was having an aversion to fruits. Her thirst had decreased. She had normal bowels and micturition symptomatic. She liked a moderate climate.
By nature, she was irritable and would cry. easily She was worried about her disease condition a lot.
She had started taking Life Force medicines in 2017 June.
After one month of treatment when she gave a follow-up, her old lesions were better in terms of relief from itching and thickness. But, new eruptions had started appearing on her foot due to the steroidal withdrawal effect. So, her medicines were revised. Also, she was taking relevant supplements and following dietary modifications.
In 2017 September, her eruptions got flattened considerably. And, there was an overall improvement in her condition. No new spots had appeared and no spreading was noticed.
By the end of 2018 November, relief from almost all her symptoms got better. Only a few hyperpigmented areas were left. The patient is happy with Dr. Shah's homeopathic treatment at Life Force.
This case illustrates that homeopathy is highly effective in treating lichen planus remarkably and safely without any side effects.
