A 57-years-old lady, Mrs. A. R. (PIN 28939) consulted at Life Force for Lichen Planus Pigmentosa on the 11th June 2016. She had developed hyperpigmented, scattered spherical spots on her face, neck, upper back, chest, and both forearms from the last year. Her oral cavity and genitals were not affected by the disease. Her disease had progressed slowly from the last year. She was experiencing itching along with burning, dryness of skin, and generalized darkening. She was taking homeopathic medicines for the last 9 months for it but without any relief.
She was a vegetarian by diet. She desired spicy food, sour food, milk, fruits, and sweets. She had no specific disliking. Her thirst had decreased. Her perspiration was average. Her bowel movements were regular. Her sleep was sound.
She was the owner of a textile business. Her husband was retired as a senior accounts officer.
She had no history of any other illness in her past, as per her medical history. In her family, her father was suffering from hypertension and Ischemic Heart Disease, and her paternal grandfather was suffering from asthma.
She was mild, sober, gentle, expressive and confident by nature. She was staying in a joint family for 35 years. She was stressed since she got married but was able to handle stress. But, for the last 2 years, she was not able to cope up with the stress. Her husband was dominating. He wanted things to happen his way. He was short-tempered. Her children were co-operative. Everyone had their own opinion. She kept stress to herself, and she could only share it with her friends. She was having marked stress regarding her daughter's marriage. She accepted things as they came to yielding disposition. She could not tolerate it when someone was suffering from her family. Her anger was suppressed and irritability was not expressed. She wept and got hurt easily. She was having a fear of quarrels in the relationship. She was a strong-willed and positive female. She was very anxious about her future.
Dr. Shah studied her case in detail and she was prescribed a research-based molecule.
On 29th July 2016, when she gave her first follow-up, her complaints had started to show good improvement. All her spots had become dull in color, and her itching had also reduced.
A few months later on 23rd May 2017, the patient informed that her lichen planus had improved by more than 50%. The spots on her chest, neck, forearms, upper back, and legs experienced more than 50% improvement. No new spots had appeared.
A few months later on 23rd November 2017, the patient informed that her lichen planus had not been improved more than 50%. The spots on her chest, neck, forearms, upper back, and legs experienced more than 50% improvement. No new spots had appeared.
A few months later on 27th June 2018, she informed that no new spots had appeared and her condition was 60% improved.
The patient is still continuing the homeopathic treatment from Life Force for further improvement.
This case shows that well-selected homeopathic medicine offers you good results in curing a chronic autoimmune steroid-masked disorder like lichen planus.
