A 47-year-old female from Nashik, Dr. M. P. (PIN: 33044) started treatment from Life Force in August 2017 for her complaint of oral and genital lichen planus.
She was suffering from these difficult types of lichen planus for 4-5 years. The lesions were present on her tongue, gums, and the inner sides of her cheeks. She was experiencing pain and burning in the mouth. She was unable to eat any food added with spices, as it would make her experience an extreme burning sensation in the mouth. She had a few lesions on her genitals too. The patient was experiencing itching, pain, and burning in the private parts. She was taking allopathic medicines but they were not helping her significantly.
Physical Generals:
The patient was a non-vegetarian. She had an average appetite. She loved to eat sweets. Her thirst was average. She had no complaints related to the urine and stool. Her sleep was sound.
Self and Family Make-Up:
The patient was a doctor by profession, and she was running her hospital with her husband in Nashik. She had one son. Often, she had stress related to work.
Personal and Family's Medical History:
She never had any major illnesses in the past. The patient had no family history of any serious disease.
After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed some research-based homeopathic medicines along with certain dietary tips to the patient.
Follow-Ups:
On 4th October 2017, the patient reported that she was overall better with the medicines. The burning had reduced than before. She was still unable to eat spicy food, but she was able to enjoy normal food. The lesions on the genitals were as it is, but the itching and pain had reduced before. She was overall improving with the medicines.
On 12th September 2018, the patient updated that she is further better with the medicines. The burning in her mouth had reduced a lot more than before. The lesions on her genitals were also healing gradually. The pain and burning in the affected genitals were less than before. The itching was also less. She was feeling overall better with the homeopathic medicines.
On 27th September 2019, the patient reported that there was an improvement in her relief, but, in the past few months, she had experienced fluctuation in her symptoms. The patient said that the burning in her mouth would suddenly flare up sometimes, and, on some days, it would be fine. The genital lesions were healing gradually. The pain and itching were less than before. Based on this feedback, Dr. Shah prescribed revised medicines to the patient.
On 22nd October 2020, the patient reported that there was a further recovery with medicines. Now, she was able to eat normal food with little spices. The burning was still present on consuming very spicy food. The lesions on her genitals were drastically reduced than before. There was no itching or pain in them. The patient was overall improving with the homeopathic medicines.
On 22nd October 2021, the patient updated that she was almost 80% better. The burning pain in the mouth was very minimal now. The lesions on her genitals were majorly reduced, and there was no itching or pain in it. There was overall progress with medicines.

Conclusion:
