Holistic Homeopathic Care Helped Relieve Chronic Cervical Pain in a 61-Year-Old Woman

This case highlights the recovery of a 61-year-old woman suffering from chronic cervical spondylitis with radiating pain and tingling in her hands. Based on MRI findings and detailed evaluation, individualized homeopathic treatment combined with lifestyle guidance led to steady improvement. Over successive follow-ups, her pain, tingling, and discomfort reduced significantly, showing how homeopathy can effectively manage age-related cervical degeneration.

A 61-year-old female patient, Mrs. U.P. (Patient ID: 46927), inquired regarding her cervical spondylitis. The patient contacted LifeForce through her son, who was already under our care. She resided in Kalyan, Thane, and approached us seeking relief from her chronic cervical pain.

She had been experiencing moderate pain on both sides of her neck, with the intensity being more prominent on the left side. Along with the localized discomfort, she reported radiating pain from her neck extending to the fingers of both hands. The tingling sensation was specifically noted in her left hand, indicating possible nerve compression. Importantly, she had never taken conventional allopathic treatment for this condition, reflecting her preference for an alternative and holistic approach.

Medical and Family History

The patient did not report any familial history of cervical spondylitis, suggesting the condition was likely due to lifestyle, age-related degeneration, or mechanical strain rather than a genetic predisposition. Additionally, she was suffering from other chronic conditions like hypertension (high blood pressure) and varicose veins, which further complicated her overall health picture.

Personal History

She was a homemaker and resides with her three sons, all of whom are employed in different professions. Her routine involves regular household chores, which might have contributed to the wear and tear in the cervical spine over time.

Diagnostic Findings
MRI conducted on 20th May 2020 revealed the following
  • Cervical spondylosis with reversal of cervical lordosis
  • Right foraminal stenosis at the C3-4 level, causing indentation of the exiting nerve root
  • Cord indentation at the C3-4, C4-5, and C5-6 levels due to disc bulges and ligamentum flavum hypertrophy
At LifeForce

After a thorough case evaluation, Dr. Rajesh Shah devised a comprehensive treatment plan. She was advised on necessary dietary modifications and given supplements to support bone and nerve health. Homeopathic medicines were prescribed for two months initially.

Follow-Ups

First Follow-Up taken on 09th Feb 2022 The patient reported a 10 to 20 percent improvement in pain. Tingling in the left hand had reduced, and radiating pain in both hands had diminished. However, she started experiencing lower back pain and bilateral knee pain, especially after performing household chores. According to her feedback, Dr.Shah prescribed medicines for another two months.

Second Follow-Up

On 14th April 2022, there was a noticeable 30 to 40 percent reduction in the intensity of pain. All symptoms, including radiating pain and tingling, had improved significantly. After analyzing this, Dr.Rajesh Shah prescribed medicines for the next two months.

Third Follow-Up

On 30th June 2022, the patient was almost entirely pain-free. No significant episodes of cervical pain were reported, indicating a significant improvement in her condition. After seeing her significant improvement & on the basis of her given follow-up, Dr.Shah prescribed medicines for another two months.

Conclusion

This case clearly illustrates that homeopathy, when practiced systematically and supported with dietary and lifestyle modifications, can provide significant relief in chronic cervical spondylitis without the need for conventional medicines. Her recovery demonstrates the efficacy of individualized homeopathic treatment in managing degenerative spinal conditions and improving the patient''s quality of life.
