A 43-year-old female from Madhya Pradesh, Mrs. J. S. (PIN:45744) started treatment from Life Force Homeopathy through the online protocol for her complaint of Urticaria on 8th July 2021.
The patient was suffering from urticaria for the last 16 to 17 years. She was getting rashes daily. The frequency of rashes was 2 to 3 times a day, and they would last for 4-5 hours. She was experiencing intense itching and hives on her entire body including the face, hands, legs, back, and abdomen. The swelling of lips and around the eyes was also present. The burning sensation in her body was bothering her. The patient was getting cough and experiencing breathlessness during the episode. She was taking Levocetirizine 5mg 1/4 tablet daily for many years.
Physical Generals:
The patient had an average appetite. She had no specific desire or aversion to any specific food. Her thirst for water was adequate. She had no issues related to the urine and stool. Her menses were normal and on time. The patient’s sleep was sound and refreshing.
Psychological and Family Make-Up:
The patient was a housewife. Her husband was doing business. By nature, she was very reserved and sensitive. She was unable to express her feelings properly to others. She had no major fear or stress present in her life.
Personal and Family’s Medical History:
The patient was suffering from a ventricular Sept defect since birth. Besides it, she had not suffered from any other major illness in the past. There were no major illnesses noticed in the family.
At Life Force:
After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed some research-based homeopathic medicines and vitamin supplements to the patient.
First follow up
On the first follow-up on 25th August 2021, the patient updated that she was 20% to 30% better with the medicines. The frequency of her episodes of urticaria had reduced to once a day. The duration of the rash was for 3 to 4 hours now. The itching and burning discomforts had reduced significantly. There was no swelling noticed on the lips and around the eyes during the episode. Her cough and breathlessness had reduced than before. She was continuing the antihistamine tablet with the same dose. The patient was advised to reduce the antihistamine dose.
Second folow up
On 13th October 2021, the patient reported that there was no further improvement with the medicines. The frequency and duration of episodes were as it is. The intensity of the symptoms had reduced, but she was still getting rashes daily. Breathlessness was not present, but the cough persisted. She had reduced the dose of antihistamine but she was unable to stop it completely. Based on this feedback, Dr. Shah prescribed further medicines to the patient.
Third follow up
On 2nd December 2021, the patient updated that she was almost 60% to 70% better in her relief in the complaints. No major episodes of urticaria had occurred. She would get hives occasionally now, but they were very mild. The swelling was no longer present on her face. Breathlessness was no longer present. The cough was minimal. She was afraid to stop the antihistamine so she continued the same reduced dose. The patient was advised to stop her antihistamine and switch to homeopathy completely as she was overall better in her relief in the complaints.
Fourth follow up
On 5th March 2022, the patient reported that she was completely 100% better. She updated that her complaints are no longer present. She had no episode of Urticaria in the past 2 months. She has stopped antihistamine and is only on homeopathic medicines now. The patient had recovered completely with homeopathic medicines.
The patient thanked Dr. Shah and the whole Life Force team for treating her daughter and improving her health. She is continuing treatment to complete the full course of treatment.
Conclusion:
This case illustrates that homeopathy can heal a chronic urticaria patient effectively, gently, and safely without any side effects. Also, homeopathy helps in eliminating the dependency on homeopathy and offers immense relief to the patient.
