A 35-years-old enthusiastic engineer from Dubai, Mr. A.K. (PIN: 23795) started online treatment on 17th February 2016 for his Urticaria. He was suffering from Urticaria from the past 16 years. He would suffer from episodes of urticaria daily, sometimes 4-5 times a day with the development of large urticarial patches on the entire body, swelling of the face, and puffiness below eyes with intense itching and, occasionally, would suffer from breathing difficulty. In spite of taking an anti-histamine, his episode would last for one day. Mr. A.K. would love hitting the gym and liked doing his heavy weightlifting and long distance and endurance activities. After his workouts, if he would eat whey protein then it would trigger his urticaria episode.
He was fair and had an average stature. He was a non-vegetarian by diet but, due to his urticaria complaint, he had stopped eating non-veg food completely. He had an average appetite and had a strong craving for sweets. He passed satisfactory stools daily. He enjoyed a sound sleep.
He was also suffering from Cervical Spondylitis and Glaucoma. His father was a known case of hypertension and hyperlipidemia, and his mother also suffered from hypertension. Dr. Shah studied his case in detail and prescribed his one of the research-based medicines to the patient.
First follow up
On 15th June 2016, the patient reported that his relief from the complaints of urticaria was better than earlier. The frequency of his complaints was as it is, but the intensity and duration of his complaints had reduced. Now, he was no more experiencing the swelling of face and puffiness below the eyes and the episode would last for 3-4 hours.
Second follow up
On 17th December 2016, the patient reported he was better by 60%. His frequency of urticaria had reduced drastically. Earlier, he would suffer from urticarial episodes daily. But, now it occurred just once in 3 weeks, and his need to take anti-histamine was just once in a month.
Third follow up
On 11th November 2017, the patient informed that he had experienced no any major episodes of urticaria in the last 7-8 months, and, hardly there was any need to take an antihistamine. Dr. Shah advised continuing with the treatment as maintenance therapy and to stop the treatment after a few weeks.
Fourth follow up
On 5th February 2018, he informed that he suffered only two mild episodes of Urticaria due to the change in the weather. He was no more suffering from any major episodes of Urticaria and had not taken any anti-histamine in the last 1 year. Mr. A.K. discontinued the treatment as he was doing much better with Homeopathic medicines. And, he is going to the gym now on regular basis. Also, now he can eat whey protein without any complaints.
Conclusion:
This case illustrates that homeopathy offers an immuno-correction at a deep level and treats Urticaria at the root level without any side-effects. With homeopathy, the dependency on anti-histamines can be reduced and, in many cases, it can be stopped too.
