Case Study
A 43-year-old lady (PIN: 47367) approached Life Force Homeopathy Pimpri Branch on 11th February 2022 for the treatment of her complaints of urticaria that she was suffering from for 1 year.
Her main presenting symptoms were hives with red blotches associated with severe itching and burning all over the body, particularly on the groins, abdomen, and lower back.
The complaints would start bothering her specifically at 2 am and goes on intensifying which then get resolved only after taking Tab. Cetrizine 5mg.
The patient was concerned about the intensity and progress of the disease.A detailed case history was taken considering both the patient’s physical and mental generals.
Physical Generals
She was a pure vegetarian and had an average appetite. She was fond of sweets. She had average thirst and drank almost 2.5-3 liters of water daily. She experienced an average perspiration and was intolerant to extreme cold weather conditions. Her bowel movements were satisfactory, and she had no urinary symptoms. Her menstrual cycle was regular and had no associated symptoms. The patient enjoyed a sound sleep and preferred lying on a side.
Mental Generals
She had a happy childhood with a well-supportive family. Her marital relationship was also satisfactory.By nature, she was a very mild, gentle, and shy lady. She was attached to her family a lot. She often used to get irritated very fast, particularly when she would experience episodes of urticaria.
Her intellectual sphere was also noted. Her memory, logic, intelligence, perception, and analysis all were good.
At Life Force
After going through the entire case history and analyzing it well, Dr. Shah prescribed medicines to the patient.
Follow-Ups
During her first follow-up on 4th April 2022, the patient was feeling far better than before. She had experienced only 2-3 attacks of urticaria in a month. Previously, she used to take Tab Cetrizine daily, but, after starting our homeopathic medicines, the frequency of her urticaria episodes reduced to twice weekly which was a good sign. The itching and burning had also reduced.
By 14th June 2022, the patient was much better. She had only one attack since her last follow-up. Also, she had reduced the dosage of Cetrizine from 5mg to 2.5mg, that too she was taking it once in 3 days.
By 19th October 2022, the patient had stopped taking Cetrizine completely and she was better.
In further follow-ups, the patient was completely better. The patient was very happy that she could stop allopathic medicines and was saved from the harmful side effects of allopathic medication. She was happy and satisfied with the treatment she received at Life Force.
