A 43-year-old lady, Mrs. T.L. (PIN: 36367) consulted at Life Force Homeopathy’s Sassoon branch on 4th April 2018 for her complaint of skin rash, which used to occur on and off and was accompanied by intense itching and redness for two years. She was suffering from this complaint daily. Her skin eruptions were the present on the upper part of the body. There were wheals present with severe itching and burning on her affected parts. Her body was feeling warm. There was no angioedema present. Her complaints used to get triggered by eating many food items, such as paneer, cheese, pickle, etc. She was on anti-histamines for her urticaria complaint with no satisfactory relief.
She was having a mixed diet and experiencing a diminished appetite for a few days. She had a craving for spicy food and an aversion to the sweets. She was intolerant to the heat. Her bowels and bladder were asymptomatic. Her sleep was disturbed.
She was working at Tata Communication Services, and her husband was into learning and development business. She had one son.
She had a past history of allergic bronchitis 10 years back. She was also operated for an umbilical hernia three years back. Her mother and brother were suffering from diabetes mellitus.
She had strong anxiety. She was perfect in her work. She was expressive. She liked to have a company always.
After studying her case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed her some research-based medicines for two months. He was also advised her to undergo blood investigations, in which it was found that her thyroid function was completely within the normal limit but her vitamin D was on the lower side. So, the doctor prescribed the patient with vitamin D supplements.
First follow up
On 22nd May 2018, the patient reported that she was 30% better. In her first follow-up itself, her urticaria had reduced a lot in the terms of the frequency and intensity.
Second follow up
On 17th July 2018, the patient reported that she was experiencing a further relief up to 40% from her complaint of urticaria.
Third follow up
On 4th September 2018, the patient reported that she was feeling better by 80%. The frequency and duration of her eruptions had reduced considerably.
Fourth follow up
When she visited us on 14th December 2018, there was 95% improvement in her recovery from urticaria.
Conclusion:
This case illustrates that homeopathy offers quick and effective results in treating urticaria. Homeopathy is highly effective in treating urticaria successfully and safely without any side-effects
