A female patient (Patient ID: 50160) presented with complaints of raised erythematous eruptions with itching and swelling over the face. Symptoms were predominantly triggered by sun exposure, accompanied by puffiness of the eyes and persistent hyperpigmentation in affected areas, along with a sensation of heat. The condition had been persisting for a year, with episodes occurring 5-6 times a month, lasting for 2-3 days. The intensity was moderate, and now the condition remains stable.
Associated complaint- Hereditary Obesity. Her weight had increased significantly in the past 2-3 years. Previously, she weighed 84 kg (two years ago) and had gained weight despite attempting a diet course, reaching a current weight of 99 kg.
Family History
The patient had a strong family history of urticaria, with her mother, maternal grandfather, and maternal uncle having experienced similar conditions.
Past Medication
In her past medical history, she had taken steroids for approximately 7-8 months, which were discontinued in June 2022.
Personal History
Revealed a mixed average diet with diminished thirst and satisfactory bowel habits. She was a student preparing for NEET, with a family background where her father was an executive engineer and her mother was a homemaker.
