41-years-old Mr. S. Srivastava (PIN: 25871) from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh visited Lifeforce Homeopathy Clinic on 4th June 2015 for treating Urticaria, which he was suffering since 4 years.
Although he was in remission period since 1.5 years, urticaria triggered since the last 1 week for which he choose to start treating with homeopathy.
He used to get episodes of maculo-papular rashes with itching, redness, & burning every day. Episode would last the whole day and rashes could be seen on the skin of back, neck, face, ears (backside), hands, and hips. His complaints would increase when he used to come in contact with dust, when he used to eat sour food or spicy food, and when he gets stressed. In fact, these complaints started when he was exposed to the dust from interior designing work which was going in his company.
Currently, he takes Cetrizine tablet on SOS basis whenever he gets the attack. In the past, he had taken other anti-allergic medicines along with steroid tablets for 4 years that did not really help him.
Along with Urticaria, he was also a known case of Hypertension ( High Blood pressure) since 4 years for which he was on Telma 40 mg every day that kept his blood pressure under control.
Physical Generals:
He was having an average appetite, and he liked eating spicy food, chicken, and fish. His thirst levels were normal, and he would perspire more on scalp and armpits that left stains. He was sensitive to cold. He was stout and flabby.
Personal/Professional/Mind/Emotions:
Patient owned a health-care company. He was aggressive and short-tempered. He would like to be in action always. There was a marked apprehension that he would always face before he would start any new tasks.
Past/Surgical/Family History:
There was no major illness in his past.
He did cholecystectomy (Surgical removal of Gallbladder) 4 to 5 years back.
He had a strong family history of urticaria, which is seen in his mother and all the 3 brothers. Father is a patient of Ischemic heart disease and Diabetes Mellitus.
Prescriptions/Follow-Ups:
Dr. Shah studied the case in detail and prescribed research based Homeopathic medicines to the patient for 6 weeks.
First follow up
Patient was almost 90% better in 6 weeks, and thereafter 100% improvement was persistent for almost for 10 months. His dependency on anti-allergic medicines had reduced and he stopped using all of them.
He stopped homeopathic medicines as well considering that he is almost cured.
Second follow up
Suddenly in Aug 2016, when he was travelling continuously for 2-3 days, urticaria triggered again and then he started taking Homeopathic medicines from us.
Third follow up
This time recovery was a bit slow as he saw 50% improvement in 6 weeks of medicines. For another 2-3 months, he was stable as the disease was neither improving nor worsening.
Fourth follow up
From Jan 2017 to April 2017, again there was a drastic improvement by 90-95 % in his urticaria. He is happy and still under our treatment. He is not on any other allopathic medicines as well. Now, he can eat other food items which triggered his urticaria earlier.
Conclusion:
Homeopathic medicines work wonder in all cases of urticaria, particularly if any food item is triggering it.
Dependency on anti-allergic medicines is reduced and later stopped. It is always better to have medicines which are effective, safe, and non-toxic to body as homeopathic medicines.
