A 57-Year-Old Male Patient Recovered From Scalp Psoriasis With Dr. Shah’s Homeopathy
Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease characterized by thick, patchy, red scaly skin, with scaling, which is long-standing and non-contagious. Case Study:
A 57-year-old male patient (PIN: 41618) visited the Life Force Thane branch clinic on 31st October 2019 for the treatment of his complaint of Scalp psoriasis. The patient was suffering from complaints of psoriasis of the scalp for 2 years. The main symptoms he presented were erythematous papules and plaques with severe itching, severe dryness with scaling, and hair fall. He didn’t experience any pain or bleeding.
His family history was taken in detail to rule out the genetic predisposition of any autoimmune diseases. There was no family history related to autoimmune diseases. Also, he had no history of diseases or surgery.
He had tried allopathic treatment before but experienced no major results. Also, he had taken Ayurvedic treatment but no major changes occurred; so, he wanted to start treatment with homeopathy. He had observed Dr. Shah’s treatment and the lives on YouTube and wanted to start treatment from Life Force Homeopathy.
A detailed case-taking was done and his both physical and mental generals were noted.
Physical Generals:
He was a non-vegetarian and was having an average appetite. He particularly liked eating fish, spicy foods, and sour foods. He had no specific aversion toward food. He had no addictions. He had increased thirst and intake of about 3-4 liters of water daily. The patient was experiencing profuse sweating, mostly over the head and back. He could not bear both extremes of weather. His bowel movements were unsatisfactory. He had constipation and was experiencing an incomplete sensation after passing stools. He had no urinary symptoms. The patient enjoyed a very sound sleep and had negative dreams.
On physical examination, the patient had a large frame physique and no deformity. His BP (120/80mmhg) and weight (71.3 kg) were examined and noted.
Psychological Generals:
His mental generals were also taken in detail. The patient told he had a good childhood and a supportive family. He was a very expressive, bold, and straightforward person. He used to get angry easily and shout at people at home. He was a lot concerned about his health and worries related to it. His intelligence, memory, perception, logic, and understanding all were good.
He was a Retired officer and was working at a private firm in Dubai. His wife was also working in a private company. He was having two children who were studying.
At Life Force:
Dr. Shah went through the case in detail and prescribed his research-based medicines to the patient. Also, all necessary lifestyle changes and a detailed diet chart were given to the patient.
Follow-ups:
On the first follow-up after 8 weeks of following homeopathic medicines on 24th December 2019, the patient had new lesions over the scalp. The itching, scaling, and dryness of the lesions had reduced.
On the follow-up on 17th December 2020, the patient was feeling 30% to 40% better. His healing of lesions had improved. He had no new lesions. The old lesions’ itching, scaling, and dryness had reduced. No further spread had occurred.
On the follow-up on 8th April 2020, the patient was 50% better. No new lesions had appeared. The healing of the old lesions over the scalp and ears was better. He no longer experienced itching. The scaling and dryness had reduced.
On the follow-up on 10th July 2020, the patient was further better. No new lesions had developed. The recovery from the old lesions was improving. The itching and scaling were no longer present.
On the follow-up on 6th September 2020, the patient was overall 80% better with the healing of the psoriasis lesions. There was no itching or scaling observed on the scalp.
On the follow-up on 30th October 2020, the patient was overall better with the lesions over the scalp. However, the patient started getting new lesions behind the ears along with mild dryness and scaling in the last 15 days.
On the follow-up on 23rd February 2021, the patient was further better. The healing of the lesions over the scalp and behind the ears was better. No itching nor scaling was seen over the scalp.
After further 3 months of homeopathic treatment on 27th May 2021, all his old lesions had healed. But, the patient had complaints of itching and scaling behind the ears for 2 weeks. The complaints had aggravated after the Covid vaccination.
On the next follow-up on 18th July 2021, the patient’s recovery from the complaints was further improved with no major lesions remaining. Also, the itching and scaling were no longer present.
The patient was on regular follow-up, and after further six months on 22nd January 2022, the patient was further better. No new lesions had appeared. The old lesion healed completely. The itching and scaling no longer affected him. The patient was feeling further better. No further spread of the lesions occurred nor any new lesions developed. The patient was advised to continue the treatment for further better results and future relapse.
Conclusion:
