Ten Year Old Heals from Tinea Versicolor Through Homeopathy

One of the common skin complaints amongst children is fungal infection and yeast infection, which can present in many forms. Tinea versicolor is a type of yeast infection of the skin that presents in the form of small, discolored, somewhat whitish hypopigmented patches. While it is also seen in adults, it can affect children as well. This case study looks at how this condition showed up in a young child and how it was diagnosed and then treated effectively with homeopathy!

At the Life Force Mulund clinic, a ten-year-old boy (Patient ID: 56132) accompanied by his mother visited on the 15th of November 2024 seeking consultation with the doctor. The mother was anxious, while the kid was calm and playful, as expected for his age. The boy had multiple, rather a cluster of light-colored hypopigmented spots in a cluster all over the face, which were noticed seven to eight months ago. They were gradually spreading and becoming more conspicuous.

Personal details:

The mother mentioned that her son has been studying in a hostel for a year, where he has to share a common hall with other students as living premises. By nature, he was pleasant, affectionate, and popular among his friends. He liked his hostel life and studies and was active in sports as well.

Past illness:

There was no history of any major illness since childhood.

Family illness:

His father had psoriasis, while his mother had vertigo. Both his grandparents suffered from hypertension and diabetes mellitus.

At Life Force:

The patient was examined thoroughly, and a Wood lamp test was done. Based on the appearance of the spots and history, he was diagnosed with tinea versicolor. They have explained the skin condition and assured us about our homeopathic treatment for the same.

All other vitals were normal. Based on his case details, Dr. Shah prescribed him homeopathic medicine TUBERCULINUM 1M powder doses and also homeopathic pills for the duration of eight weeks. 

Follow-ups:

At the first follow-up on the 31st of December 2024, the spread had completely stopped, and spots in most areas were mildly reduced. He was also prescribed supplements for calcium, as a deficiency was noted in his reports. Based on his follow-up, he was again prescribed homeopathic medicines by Dr. Shah for a further eight weeks.

At the next follow-up on the 21st of January, 2025, there was a further reduction in all the affected areas. Although the patient was in a hostel, he was taking medicines regularly as instructed. Based on his follow-up, he was prescribed by Dr. Shah for a further duration of eight weeks.

Further follow-up on the 2nd of March 2025 showed an overall reduction of 40 to 50% in all areas. He was again prescribed by Dr. Shah for another eight weeks. His recent follow-up on the 6th of May 2025 showed an amazing resolution of all spots on all areas of his face. The entire affected area had become free from spots and as clear as it was earlier. Both the child and his mother were happy and relieved by the quick results of homeopathy.

Conclusions:

The above case study shows the healing effects of homeopathic medicines in yeast infections and emphasizes the point of recovery from tinea versicolor in a short duration with homeopathy. Also, children respond very well to homeopathy, and it cures in a natural, gentle manner and is therefore strongly recommended.
