"Surgeon\'s Daughter Finds Stable Recovery from Recurrent Cystitis"

On December 16, 2023, a 20-year-old girl called Ms. I.P. (Patient ID: 53240) came to our Life Force center in Pune with a complaint of recurring cystitis. This complaint had been troubling the patient since 2013. The patient''''s symptoms during an attack were pelvic discomfort, burning micturition with strong-smelling urine, a persistent urge to urinate, and occasionally a low-grade fever with lower abdominal pain. During the attack, the frequency of urination also increased to 8–10 times per day. In a year, the patient experienced two to three bouts of moderately severe cystitis.

- Date: 23.09.2023

- USG abdomen and pelvis done: revealed: Thickened urinary bladder walls with few internal echos, suggestive of cystitis.

Earlier she was taking homeopathic and conventional treatment during every episode of cystitis, but she didn’t get a satisfactory result.

She had a mixed diet. She liked spicy food and sweets. She didn’t like milk. Her appetite and water intake were also low. She had regular, satisfactory bowels. She could not bear cold weather, and perspiration was also scanty. She had sound sleep, and she preferred to sleep on the right side or the abdomen. She was tall & thin in physique.

She was a second-year student studying computer science; both of her parents are surgeons; her father is an orthopedic surgeon, and her mother is a cosmetologist and surgeon, and her younger brother was studying in 11th grade.

Her father was having hypertension, and her mother had ulcerative colitis and DM.

The patient had a history of multiple sclerosis and asthma; when she saw us, she also complained of PCOD and anxiety, for which the additional treatment was recommended from Life Force.

On the mental side, she was quite confident and outspoken, but she was also worried about her health, irritable, and afraid of being left alone.

After studying her case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed her Medorrhinum 30.

Follow-ups:

During her 1st follow-up on 21st February 2024, there was no improvement, and complaints were the same as before. The patient had 1 episode of cystitis in January 2024, which lasted for 10–12 days, and the patient had to take conventional treatment. Her case was reevaluated, and the next course of medicine was prescribed.

The second follow-up was taken on April 7, 2024, and there was a drastic improvement noticed. The patient informed us that there had been no episode of cystitis since January 2024, the frequency of urination was 6-7 times a day, and the patient had not taken any other treatment.

The 3rd follow-up was taken on 11th May 2024. The patient was informed that no episode of cystitis occurred after January 2024 and occasional pelvic discomfort and persistent urge to pass urine had also reduced significantly.

During subsequent follow-up taken on 23rd June 2024 and 06th August 2024, it was noticed that no episode of cystitis was noticed after January 2024

During the follow-up taken on 22nd September 2024, the patient informed that she had a mild episode of burning in urine 15 days ago but it resolved within a day after drinking plenty of water, rest all complaints were completely stable.

During her last follow-up taken on November 14, 2024, it was concluded that the patient had only 1 episode of cystitis with burning, frequent foul-smelling urination in January 2024, after which there were no episodes and the patient was completely stable with treatment at Life Force Homeopathy.

Conclusion:

This case highlights that homeopathy is quite effective in treating recurrent cystitis. Homeopathy, if prescribed correctly, provides stable recovery from recurrent cystitis without any side effects.
